PUBLIC COMMENT No public comments. + + REVIEW EW F MINUTES motion was made, seconded and passed to approve as submitted the minutes from the BOA meeting held on Wednesday, 11/21/07. BOARD of ASSESSORS s I EPOF TS No reports. } DIRECTOR of ASSESSING REPORT--Jason str ebel 1. Revaluation Update. .Jason streebel reported that the revaluation process was completed. Certification for Mashpee was finalized on Monday, 12/10/07. DOR recommended one change: state-owned land will now be assessed at one acre instead of two acres. . Tax Fate, The tak rate was approved. The tax bills will be going out on time for January 1, 2008. . consultant's contract. Jason streebel reported that Paull Kapino's revaluation contract with the Town expires the end of 2007. A new contract for the position will be going out to bid in the next few months. * . Data Collector Position. Jason streebel reported that interviews have been conducted for the position, and one strong candidate has been identified. .Mason is Optimistic that the candidate will be aper iced by-the Board of selectmen at their January 71 2008 meeting. + . senior Work-Off Tait Abatement Volunteer .Jason streebel stated that the Assessing Office has been assigned a senior Mork-Off volunteer. The tax abatement amount fo;r the volunteer i $600. The newly r revised and approved senior Work-Off application-recommended by the BOA,is now being used by + the Council on Aging. The number of available slots for volunteers has been incre ,d from 30 to 35. j + }
