Chairman Andrews seconded <br /> the motion out of necessity. Motion carries. <br /> PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> Where was no public comment at this time. <br /> REVIEEW of MINUTES <br /> Sheldon Holzer mage a motion to accept the minutes from May 27, 2009. Chairman Andrews <br /> seconded the motion. lotion carries. <br /> BOARD of ASSESSORS REPORTS <br /> Paul Andrews, Charman <br /> Sheldon Holzer, Vice-Chairman <br /> No report at this time. + <br /> Gregg Fraser,Clerk <br /> D11RECToR of ASSESSING REPORT <br /> Jason Streebel <br /> I. Board Secretary Meeting Schedule-Mr, Streebel announced that, dine to budgetary constraints <br /> related to having a hoard Secretary, the Human resource Department requested that the Board <br /> consider meeting every other month or consider being responsible for recording their own minutes. <br /> The Chair noted that, until abatement season, meeting every other month would be acceptable and Mr. <br /> Hofer agreed to meeting every other month until the end of December. <br /> . Massachusetts Association of Assessing officers Conference-Mr. Streebel attended the <br /> conference which included a presentation about time adjusting sales. Mr. Streebel noted that typically <br /> time adjusted sales are unnecessary in a good market. Two methods are recommended: 1 utilize <br /> property that has been sold more than once in a year and 2 using matched pain or two identical <br /> properties. During their presentation the International Assoation of Assessors OrganizationWO) <br /> announced that they have re-vamped their standards, so additional clarification about the standards <br /> may be needed. In Mashpee, if there are not enough sales, the Assessing Department will use local <br /> towns such as Falmouth, Sandv rch and the western part of arnstable as a resource. The DIS also has <br /> website that makes information mailable. <br /> 1 <br />
