Chairman Paul Andrews called the meeting to order at 5:47 PM <br /> + PUBLIC COMMENTS. No public comments. <br /> REVIEW of MINUTES <br /> Sheldon Holzer made a motion to approve as presented the minutes from the Public <br /> Session meeting and the Executive Session meeting, both of which were held on <br /> 9/23/09. Gregg Fraser seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> BOARD of ASSESSORS REPORTS. No reports. <br /> DIRECTOR of ASSESSING REPORT <br /> 1. FY 2011 Budget Jason Streebel reported that the Assessor's office is currently <br /> working on the budget for FY 2011, to be presented in the next few weeks. All Town <br /> departments have been asked to submit a level-funded budget and a 2% reduction <br /> budget, along with all associated changes a reduction might make in the department. <br /> 2. Capital Improvement Project CIP Requests. ,Jason Streebel stated that he is <br /> about to submit a request from the Assessing Office for a new vehicle, the present one <br /> II <br /> being 11 years old. r. Streebel hopes that the request will come to fruition in 2011; <br /> although he has repeated the request for the lest several years. <br /> . FY 2010 Recapitulation. ,Jason Streebel stated that he is in hopes to have the recap <br /> submitted on 11/06/09, on line in the Gateway, the electronic system for the DOR. Once <br /> our new growth is accepted by the DOR, it will be possible to move toward setting a new <br /> tax rate. <br /> 4. Classification Hearing. The Board of Selectmen has scheduled hearings for <br /> .Monday, 11 16/09 at 8:40 PM. At that time the Selectmen gill accept public corn ments <br /> on splitting the tax rate and offering small business exemptions. Jason Streebel stated <br /> that he will prepare informational handouts for distribution at the meeting. Board of <br /> Assessors members are welcome to attend. <br /> . Water District classification Hearing. The Water District hearing will be held on <br /> Tuesday, 11/17109 at 4:45 PM. Jason Streebel plans to attend this meeting. <br /> . State-owned Lard Issue. Jason Streebel reported hearing that the governor may <br /> be reducing reimbursement to 2%. Last year's reimbursement of lost takes was curt <br /> from 100%to 82%. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1.. Red Brook Road Horse Farnn. Jason Streebel stated that the horse farm on Red <br /> Brook Road had previously been subdivided into four parcels including a cul-de-sac <br /> which exists only on paper. used on deed ownership, the cul-de-sac is not an issue. <br /> The assessor's map currently includes the cul-de-sac, and should be corrected next year <br />
