Jean Thomas <br /> Arthur Weinstein, Treasurer <br /> Aurora Bird ABSEN3: <br /> Frank Hicks <br /> Robert Osborn Jim Long, Director <br /> Lynne Waterman, Outreach <br /> Coordinator <br /> The Chairman opened the meeting at 9: 10 AM in the Conference <br /> Room at Town Hall . <br /> William Hanson and B. Jean Thomas were interviewed for the <br /> unexpired term on the Council. . # Margaret Pierce called the <br /> Chairman and stated that she could not attend the meeting bt <br /> would like to remain on the active list for the next vacancy. <br /> Bill Hanson was interviewed and stated that he would like t <br /> be a member of the board and some of hr's accomplishments <br /> were: Chairman of the Housing Authority for 17 years , member <br /> of the Sandwich Council. on Aging and also a member of the <br /> Americans with Disabilities Committee. <br /> B. Jean Thomas was interviewed and gave the Council an <br /> overview of her 18 years of service to the town. Although <br /> .Team has never been on the Council on Aging, she has helped <br /> "behind the scenes" in many, many ways. <br /> After the Council discussed both candidates in depth a motion <br /> was made by Bob Osborn and it was seconded by Aurora Bird to <br /> recommend to the selectmen that B. Jean Thomas fill the <br /> unexpired term on the Council on Aging. It was a unanimous <br /> vote . <br /> A letter will be written to Bill Hanson and Margaret Pierce <br /> telling them of the recommendation and if they desire they <br /> will remain on the active list. <br /> motion was made by Arthur Weinstein to accept the <br /> Secretary' s Report as written and '.t was seconded by Frank <br /> - Hicks . S moved. <br /> A motion was Made by Mimi Mullin to accept the Treasurer ' s <br /> Report and it was seconded by Frank Hicks . So moved. <br />
