MASHPEE COUNCIL ON AGING , <br /> November 16, 2005 <br /> IN ATTENDANCE ALSO PRESENT <br /> Arthur Weinstein James Long <br /> Marijo Gorney Lynne Waterman <br /> Art Eisenberg <br /> Rose Shanker <br /> Marilynn Brooks <br /> Irving Goldberg <br /> Sack Dorsey <br /> Virginia McIntyre <br /> Jeanne Noussee <br /> The Chairman opened the meeting at 8:4Q at the Mashpee Seniors Center <br /> SECRETARY'S REPORT— The Secretary's report was accepted. <br /> DIRECTOR'S REPORT —Jim outlined the many meetings he attended <br /> during the month, including those with the Town Manager, Town Finance <br /> Director, and in particular multiple meetings of town emergency <br /> management groups providing a perspective on the needs of elders. Jim <br /> obtained some informative booklets which will be distributed through <br /> Outreach. <br /> TOWN MEETING — COA warrant articles were tabled at the town <br /> meeting. <br /> CAPERS — Sponsored successful CRAFT Fair on 10/22/05 and a musical <br /> program on 11/14/2005, which drew about 150 individuals. <br /> THRIFT SHOP— Opened on Monday October 3, 2005 —Will close on <br /> December LO and reopen on April 1, 2006. Discussion took place about a <br /> sign to indicate its presence. <br /> i <br /> HOLIDAY DECORATIONS —Jim met with the Garden Club about <br /> decorating the new building during the holiday season—the decorating was <br /> to be accomplished the day after Thanksgiving. <br />
