t - CONSERVATION BOARD MEETING June 1o resen t Pauline F. De ory, Chairman Charles Buckingham Wayne Tavares Peter Du.rmer The meeting started at 7:30P.M. The Following was on the agenda: Mr. .James Kordis of Lot 48 Captains Row, Pirates Cove, carne before the Board o request the Committee to help them in Filling out their Notice of Intent Form. They plan to build a. new home on the foundation where their present house is located. Their existing home will be moved to a lot on Mashpee Neck Road. The new home will be the same size -- 8' x 49' with a full basement. It will have three: bedrooms. They here been to the building inspector and were informed ed that there would be no problems in building in the samefounda- tion. They currently h"e a cesspool. Charlie advised them to get a new septic system and to come into the Board of Health with their plans. Charlie asked if the house could be moved away from the grater, but Mr. Kordis stated that he wanted to keep the house in line with the other homes in the develop- ment. Wayne stated that he knew the area and that all the homes were about the same being 5 to 6 f eet to the road and approximately 10 to 12 Feet to the beach. Extension Permits Bennett E. Gordon, 60 Bowsprit Point, Ia. hpe 0+3-130) An extension permit was issued to fir. Gordon for a one-gear extension on the above lot. J.-R.U. Realty, luashnet Valley Country Club, Mashpee (sE43-16) Mr. .John Umina, Jr. came before the Board to request ars extension permit for his father's golf course. A letter was received dated June 9,- 1981, From John Umina, Sr. stating that he is under agreement to sell the golf course. The Board voted that the extension will be issued contingent upon receiving inf rma. tion required in Section 13 and Section 14 of the Order of Conditions. A letter was seat to Mr. Umina on June 11, 1981, informing them of the Boar's decision, Popponesset Beach Restoration letter was received from Selectwoman Thomas dated June 40 1981 stating that there are problems with vandalism on Popponesset Beach. Individuals are breaking apart the fencing to use for firewood for beach parties, Selectwoman Thomas sug. Bested that a meeting be held sponsored by the Conservation Commission to explain ghat the Town is trying to accomplish. The Boar discussed the situation and the general Feeling of the members was that the patrolling of the beach is a police matter and' tha.t it was rip to them to enforce the vandalism laws.
