Louise l eh rman, Gertrude Ferriday, Joseph Burns, <br /> Patrick Coffey, carol Jacobson,, Mary Marsters, <br /> Elliot Rosenberg. <br /> Lisa Hanscom, Conservation Agent, was also present. <br /> 7:00 - Stratford Ponds. Laurel McKelvey,, Biologist and Carl Grassett i presenting. <br /> Ss McKelvey advised she prepared the revegetation plan presented to the Commission <br /> on December 11 , 1987 which was again reviewed. She did a density study of the <br /> species of vegetation adjacent to the area and determined the relative density <br /> of the species in the area which came out to be 2 Pitch Pine, 15 White Oak, <br /> 27° Red Oak and 15% Black oak. <br /> Originally it was proposed to transfer onsite species into the area and reveget to <br /> with nature trees, but at this time, due to onsite disturbance and cost, together <br /> with basic time frames, they would rather bring in nursery species. With the <br /> Commission's permission, they are requesting to speak with the landscaper and <br /> nursery to core up with as many indigenous species possible and present a list <br /> to Lisa and go ahead with revegetation of this area as shown on the plan but <br /> with nursery stock. <br /> Mr. Grasetti stated it was recommended that they not tale them from other areas . <br /> Ms Behrman stated a maintenance schedule will be necessary. Also, the Commission <br /> would like to make use of the consultant hired by the Planning Board for Beechwood <br /> Point. - security to guarantee this will be done properly will be required. <br /> MS McKelvey stated a time frame of five ,years was mentioned; rl, or bi-yearly <br /> schedule. <br /> Ms Beh rman stated this should be reviewed by the Consultant and Mr. Gras sett i <br /> offered to pay for the review; he agreed this would be fair. They will continue <br /> . with their ,atterpt to obtain sizes and species. <br /> 7:30 - Edward Lundgren - To maintain in place an existing timber retaining wall <br /> and stairs with associated fill and an existing outdoor shower and deck; to con- <br /> struct an outside dressing room on an existing dock at Lot 41 Magnolia Lane. <br /> Continued from 4/7/88. Plans were reviewed. <br /> 1r. Lundgren stated the charges recommended by the Commission were completed; <br /> the foot path as shown, cubic yards of fill placed behind the retaining wall . <br /> He presented a letter from Joseph E. L m r'o, Civil Engineer, stating the wall <br /> was satisfactorily built, both in the construction methods and materials used. <br /> Mr. Lembro recommends timbers be placed on the outside part of the wall to <br /> hold in the bottom; going down about 5 feet with 3 feet sticking out of the <br /> ground. As in the buffer area, Commission approval is needed. Work will be <br /> done by hand with a post hole digger, dry cement will be put in the hole. <br /> Concerning the Board of Health permit for the outside shower, Elias McQuaid <br /> informed hire that as of 1984 this was illegal . Mr. Zoria has agreed it will <br /> be removed and used as an outside faucet. <br /> Mr. Coffey stated he would accept the engineer' s report but he was not clear <br /> on the spacing recommended. Mr. Lundberg stated he was not clear on this also. <br /> Over the phone it was stated 10 feet, in the letter 8 feet; he will determine <br />
