Louise Behrman, Chairman Pro Tern; carol Jacobson; <br /> Joseph Burns; Many Marsters; Patrick Coffey. <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m. <br /> John Donovan came before the commission concerning Lot 8 Ockway Bay Road. <br /> He advised he had been to DEOE and they did not approve the project but <br /> did not oppose i . He stated he had nothing in writing from then. <br /> They propose 115 yeards of fill 'on one side and 85 on the other. Drywell.s <br /> are planned. <br /> Ms Behrman stated it is possible DEE did not take into consideration the <br /> retaining wall on the house next door was permitted on a superceding Order <br /> and was never discussed with tie local commission. That footing is at the <br /> 12 foot contour; Mr. Dono n's plan proposes to put everything in the Flood <br /> hazard one. She suggested he start at the 12 foot contour to keep the rip- <br /> rap out of the flood zone to minimize impact. <br /> Mr. Coffey suggested instead of an entire rip-rap wall a Glacis gall be con- <br /> sidered that runs back on ,itself which is better supporting. <br /> Mr~. Donovan is to go back to his engineer with the suggestions. He asked <br /> if he should seek a variance towards lot 9 from the Board of Appeals? <br /> Nis Behrman stated this is a better house site and the Commission would be <br /> willing to send a memo to the Board of Appeals to that effect. <br /> Mrs. Jacobson asked if he was at 15 feet and he stated he was. <br /> 7:15 Phyllis Littleford, Quashnet Road. Swanson, an abutter, asked why a postponment was requested? Ms <br /> Behrman advised it was continued as he did not have a permit for an <br /> elevated walkway. It will have to be readvertised and abutters must <br /> be notified when he decides to reopen it. <br /> Mr. Roy Swanson stated he was concerned about the fragile area and the <br /> right of way. He had heard they were attempting to have it deeded over <br /> to thea in lard court. <br /> Ms Behrman stated the Commission would not be addressing that issue. <br />
