MAS PEE CONSERVATION COMMISSION <br /> SION <br /> MEETING of SEPTEMBER 21 , 1989 <br /> Commissioners present: V. Louie Peh rman, Chairman Pro Tem, Patrick Coffey <br /> Joseph Burns, Elliot Rosenberg, Harry Desrosier. <br /> Florence Wall , Associate Member and Robert Sherman, Conservation Agent, were <br /> present a l ': ' <br /> The meeting was called to order at :00 p.m. <br /> 30 Robert Hansen, 63 Keel Way, Continued from August 24, 1989. Susan Asmus <br /> presenting. Revised plans have been divided into three separate levels, upper, <br /> main and lower. The addition will be a two story 20 x 20 ft. on the upper and <br /> main. The lower level will be open storage space enclosed by pine siding, <br /> Poured foundation in ar 'IT" shape will be on the bottom floor which is at elev- <br /> ation 8.5 and will have an additional deck to be supported by pressure treated <br /> wooden posts with underlying gravel for drainage. <br /> The rain level will have an addition of 20' x 2 ' of living space as will the <br /> space on the third level and both will have an attached wooden deck 71 x 21 . <br /> Ms Pehrman asked if this is in the AEC and was told it was not. <br /> Mr. Coffey asked if it will be guttered and was told it will . <br /> Ms Behrman asked if the pool could be brought back. Ms Asmus stated the Board <br /> of Appeals variance h aE s been received on that location. s Behrman asked the <br /> setback from Mean High tarter. <br /> Mr. Coffey stated, although not liking the pool so close to the water, he did <br /> not see the structure posing a problem ars there is no rapid grade change and <br /> there is a 50 ft. buffer. He questioned the tight work limit. <br /> Bill Murey of Cape Cod Pools was introduced and asked if he could stay within <br /> a less than one foot work limit. He stated they will come within three feet <br /> with a machine and dig the rest by hand. - The pool is 2 to 8 feet in depth <br /> Mr. Rosenberg pointed out' they will be below the water level and asked how much <br /> below the pool was to be excavated. <br /> Ms Asmus stated the side of the pool will be at elevation . , which is the same <br /> as the deck, and go down from there. <br /> Mr. Maurey stated they are 18". above grade so they are going approximately 61 <br /> below grade. <br /> Ms Behrman stated they will be digging a hole that has water in it. <br /> I; <br /> Mr. Maurey did not see a problem, he stated they can stay out of the water if <br /> required,, <br /> Ms Behrman asked, if pumping the water out, where would it be pumped t <br /> Mr. Mau rey stated, definitely not into the wetland, to the street. If not getting <br /> into the water, that won't be a problem. He further advised ars Aqua one vacuum <br /> system will - be used. The pool will be seasonally drained down 18" into the ad- <br /> jacent dry ell at a nate not to overflow into the wetland. <br />
