The Chauman,DOR Myers,presided.. <br /> Blue Ribbon Cottee Members present: Chairman Ikon Myers; Chuckie Green, Vice <br /> hair;Zella lizenberry#Lee Gurney;Beverly Kane and Ted Theis. <br /> . Absent this evening were Douglas Storrs, Clerk;John Miller and Glenn Santos. <br /> Also Present at the meeting were F. Thomas Fudala, Town Planner;lid Baker, a Mashpee <br /> citizen and.carnes F. Moroney, a Mashpee citizen. <br /> A quorurn being present,the ha an called the meeting to order. <br /> Approval of mutes <br /> Approval for minutes of the Ju�e15, 2006 meeting and the July 20, 2006 m"etings were. <br /> withheld until received and reviewed by Board members. <br /> Lrquiries <br /> The Chan said that he had sent inquiries to the Superintendent of Schools, Ann <br /> Bradshaw aid-said he had an-invitation for her to Borne to the August 24,1006.-rneeting}- <br /> regarding the secondary schoof.programs. He also:stated that the Charles Rowley report would be <br /> presented.at:the=-upco ing_ Board of Selectmen meeting on August 21, 2006. <br /> - ommui ations <br /> Public Comments <br /> Ed Baker, a Mashpee resident,expressed interest on wind turbines and electrical user <br /> saying that curing a plume containment meeting he had attended, there was a presentation at <br /> Mass, Maritime Academy regarding wind p ower'. .r r - <br /> The Chairman read the leaflet regarding wind-turbine towel's given to him by Mr. Baker. <br /> Old Busmen <br /> Reports from each Board/ orinmsion regarding DCPC:recommendations - <br /> Beverly Kane said she had passed to the Board of Selectmen three zoning articles. She <br /> said that the articles were a request for development of by-laws, which.included-the cluster <br /> development by-lags;the updated storm water managerrrent by-jaws and-the water giality.rip 4 <br /> by-laws. She said she wanted to make sure that the Town s y-laws were up to date with the <br /> latest scientific data. She asked the Cottee members to look therm over and to favorably <br /> recommend them to the A B o ard.of Selectmen,'' <br /> The Vice Chair had a question about the cluster zoning by-law. <br /> Thi Town Planner said that open space had been set aside thi tty years ago and that it was <br /> impossible for the lots to be grandfathered. He said that those people who grand,fathered were-not <br /> treated-equally;with-those,who did;cluster dir'isions last.year:( 005),.although open.space was set . . <br /> aside. <br /> The Vice Chair asked if it world b .b r to,sell tights t growth,gentejs to art s tb t <br /> end instead of extending grandfathering. <br /> The Town Planner said that what was needed was people.willing to buy development <br /> rights. a said a viable alternative was needed:..- :. <br /> The Chairman-sked about how many lots were available. <br /> The Town Planner said that it was not more than.20 or 30-lots. <br /> The Vice-Chairman.said that a small-lot was brought b6f6re'-the Zoning Board of Appeals <br /> and the tot was granted to build on and that he.did-not see why there should be grandfathering if <br /> the Z.B.A. approved it. He added that what was being done now was not.correct. <br />
