S TOWN OF MA HPEE COASTAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES OF MAY 25, 1995 The Mashpee Coastal. Resource Management Committee met at Mashpee Town Hall at 3: 30 p.m. on Thursday , May 25, 1 9 9 5 . Board Members present: Perry Ellis , Jinn Hanks, Tom Eudala., Greg. Taylor. Bob Sherman and George Faker sat in for a short time during the ineet ing . The meeting was called to order at 3: 30 p.m. The Minutes of February 23 , 1995 were modified by Mr. Hanks as follows: • Problem with "treated." Pilings was with placement, not treatment* • "Willis" Work Road should be Will ' s work road,. • Boat sewage pumpout facilities* The Town will get reimbursed 75%, and the Marinas will get 50% . There was no Grote of approval on the Minutes since there was no quorum. No public comment. The Town Beach two-foot dune restoration will take place in the fall.. Messrs . Taylor Sherman, and Ellis will work on this. Popponesset Spit remedial plan has been targeted for late winter or when permits are ready. Dredging will occur inside - and outside Poppone s set .in the direction of cotui t; Little River will also be dredged. It was noted that Barnstable approval will be needed; Mr. Ellis wa to to the arnstable Harbormaster. Part of the spit .i s owned by New Seabury , but they plan to give it up to the Town. of Mashpee. Where are enough issues to warrant forming a sub committee, Waterways Commission is helping to- get the permits together for dredging. Mr. Hanks noted there are funds from MEMA and FEMA that have not been tapped; Tom Fudal.a will follow up with Russell Peters who works with FEMA. South cape Beach developments include 'installation of a gate at Willis Work Road which will be - closed at night. Where could be a legal issue since Mashpee owns the road up to it. Mr. Hanks heard there mai be a full-time piping plover officer hired for south Cape Beach. Mr. Sherman s understanding is there will he a part-time seasonal warden; Con Com is making it a forma, requirement but cannot guarantee the money next year.
