S <br /> TOWN OF MA HPEE <br /> COASTAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE <br /> MINUTES OF MAY 25, 1995 <br /> The Mashpee Coastal. Resource Management Committee met at Mashpee <br /> Town Hall at 3: 30 p.m. on Thursday , May 25, 1 9 9 5 . <br /> Board Members present: Perry Ellis , Jinn Hanks, Tom Eudala., <br /> Greg. Taylor. Bob Sherman and George Faker sat in for a short <br /> time during the ineet ing . <br /> The meeting was called to order at 3: 30 p.m. The Minutes of <br /> February 23 , 1995 were modified by Mr. Hanks as follows: <br /> • Problem with "treated." Pilings was with placement, not <br /> treatment* <br /> • "Willis" Work Road should be Will ' s work road,. <br /> • Boat sewage pumpout facilities* The Town will get reimbursed <br /> 75%, and the Marinas will get 50% . <br /> There was no Grote of approval on the Minutes since there was <br /> no quorum. <br /> No public comment. <br /> The Town Beach two-foot dune restoration will take place in <br /> the fall.. Messrs . Taylor Sherman, and Ellis will work on this. <br /> Popponesset Spit remedial plan has been targeted for late winter <br /> or when permits are ready. Dredging will occur inside - and <br /> outside Poppone s set .in the direction of cotui t; Little River <br /> will also be dredged. It was noted that Barnstable approval <br /> will be needed; Mr. Ellis wa to to the arnstable <br /> Harbormaster. Part of the spit .i s owned by New Seabury , but <br /> they plan to give it up to the Town. of Mashpee. Where are enough <br /> issues to warrant forming a sub committee, Waterways Commission <br /> is helping to- get the permits together for dredging. Mr. Hanks <br /> noted there are funds from MEMA and FEMA that have not been <br /> tapped; Tom Fudal.a will follow up with Russell Peters who works <br /> with FEMA. <br /> South cape Beach developments include 'installation of a gate <br /> at Willis Work Road which will be - closed at night. Where could <br /> be a legal issue since Mashpee owns the road up to it. Mr. <br /> Hanks heard there mai be a full-time piping plover officer hired <br /> for south Cape Beach. Mr. Sherman s understanding is there <br /> will he a part-time seasonal warden; Con Com is making it a <br /> forma, requirement but cannot guarantee the money next year. <br /> Allowances may he made for vehicles of the disabled to use the <br />
