Town of Mashpee <br /> Conservation Commission <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> July 24, 1997 <br /> The Town of Mashpee Conservation Commission meeting was <br /> called to order at Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great Neck load forth, <br /> Mashpee, Massachusetts at p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 1997. <br /> The Chairman, John Fitzsimmons, presided. <br /> Commissioners present -, John Fitzsimmons, Chairman; Elliot <br /> Rosenberg, Nice Chairman; John Johansen, Clerk; Harry I esro iers; <br /> and George Green. <br /> Also present: Kathleen Terrio, Assistant Agent , <br /> The Chairman declared a quorum to be present and called the <br /> Meeting to order. As the first order of business he opened the <br /> floor to Public Comment related to Conservation Commission. <br /> activities. <br /> Public Comment Period <br /> Steve Ball, Town BogAttendant: The rivers have been <br /> leaned up, water flow is excellent, inside bog work is near <br /> completion. General maintenance, lawn' <br /> awn, maintenance and erosion <br /> control is being taken care of. The harvest should be very <br /> productive this year. <br /> Brian Handy, Lessor Town Bogs: The Quashnet River from Rte. <br /> 151 through the Bog has been cleaned up. He also estimated a <br /> good harvest this year. Be informed the Commissioners that a <br /> number of tires and waste materials effecting the flow of the <br /> River have been removed, resulting in improved conditions in the <br /> Bog and the Golf Course. (This ratter concluded 7 : 00 p.m. <br /> Post-Hearing Agenda-old Business <br /> 1 . Kathleen introduced a letter into the record received <br /> from Ha lyn Consulting, dated July 16, 1997, to Mashpee <br /> Conservation Commission, regarding 38 Fiddler Crab Lane. <br /> request made by Lynne Ha.rlyn to incorporate lawn standards into <br /> the RDA appropriate for recording the Beed at the Registry. <br /> She then informed the Commission ,of the Agent ' s desire to <br /> continue with the Notice of Intent . <br /> LOTION: Elliot Rosenberg made a lotion that the requirement <br /> for Notice of Intent not be waived in this matter; which motion <br /> was seconded by George Green and so voted unanimously. <br /> . Kathleen n added section and passed out information <br /> concerning the Holland Mills well . Kathleen addressed section <br /> ( explaining Iiedre Greelih would be in attendance at the <br /> August 7, 1997 Hearing-Public Comment. <br /> w <br /> 5 <br />
