He stated this is not a public hearing but if anyone wants <br /> to be heard, time will be allotted. The purpose today is not to look for trouble <br /> but to solve problems. <br /> Mr. Sherman advised he was involved with good meetings yesterday and <br /> today. He will report the progress to the Commission. He listed the things <br /> discussed today. some problems emerged recently. He suggested the <br /> Comms-ssion could decide today to take a vote to agree upon solutions. <br /> Steve Hurley was with he, Tom s ymoniak, Nancy Balkus, Kathy Filey, EPA <br /> and other members of IRP and AFCEE at AFCthe site today. <br /> First on his list: We had a problem with clearing of vegetation that was not <br /> shorn on the Plan of Record. A full-scale plan showing the divergence <br /> between regrading and clearing as permitted and that actually done for the <br /> puphouse or any other areas. some compensatory plantings will be <br /> necessary before a Certificate of Compliance could be issued. The extent will <br /> be decided when the two plans are compared, <br /> Rill Fisher of Woodard & Curran has been most helpful. He has brought up <br /> several issues. Traffic has a high impact on the project. In the area of the <br /> K1 bog, only necessary vehicles should be in the area. <br /> Kathy Kiley of DEP stated discussions have been very useful. In the future, <br /> everyone should be informed of fish kills, siltation in the water, etc. <br /> Progress has been made defining thresholds. If there are more than two dead <br /> fish, it needs to be reported, when. and in what time frame and corrective <br /> actions. significant rainfall events require that inspection take place as soon <br /> as possible. <br /> Mr. Johansen stated there i the issue of frogs and lack of oxygen. <br /> Mr. Sherman stated this will be put on paper to review and act upon.
