Town of Mashpee Conservation Commission Minutes of Meeting January 31, 2002 The Town of Mashpee Conservation Commission Meeting was called to order in Conference loom #3, Mashpee Town Hall, 1 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, Massachusetts at 6 : 55 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2002 . The Chairman! John Fitzsimmons, presided. Commissioners present: John Fitzsimmons, Chairman; Stephanie Jones, Associate Member; Carole Moore; and Michael Talbot . Also present: Robert Sherman, Conservation Agent; and Diane Boretos, Assistant Conservation Agent. The Chairman declared a quorum to be present; designating the Associate Member, Stephanie Jones as a voting Member of this Meeting and called the Meeting to order. As the first order of business the Chairman asked for Public Comment - None. 1. Mr. Sherman urged the Commission to vote to irrevocably direct Town Counsel to begin Injunction proceedings against Mr. Halpern for long standing violations, which have not been addressed by M '. Halpern or hiS Legal. Counsel to date. After brief discussion of this matter, the Chairman entertained a motion be made. MOTION: Carole Moore made a Motion instructing the Conservation Agent to seek Injunction relief through 'Town Counsel regarding the Halpern violations; which Motion was seconded by Michael Talbot and so voted unanimously. 2 . Wind Chimes Deed - Mr. Sherman explained this current parcel of land being donated to the Town of Mashpee adjoins i existing conservation lands along the Mashpee River. Said Deed was thereupon signed by the Chairman of the i Commission and duly notarized by the Board secretary having established it was the free act and deed of the Commission to do SO. 7 ,000 L. Clarke Hill, 50 Poppones set island, coat inued from November 15, 2001. NOI Mr. Sherman reported Applicant has requested a further continuance in order to have lawn area surveyed, a portion of which is to be removed and nitrogen figures recalculated.
