Swenson (due' to illness) Ii The minutes of the August 8 meeting were - reviewed , and corrected : page 2 item C : the wording should be : Five Trustees were appointed to serve on the Building Committee . Johnston could participatet ece tion for Volunteers The discussion resulted in these decisions a. The Trustees and Friends will jointly s on or a reception for library volunteers on Sunday , October- 2 from 3 :00 to :oo ' PM at the Senior 'Citizens Center , if this facility is available . Mary Fordham will mAke the -necessary contact for reservation of the center , Minimum finan.cial expenditures will be shared betreen - the ' donation Fund of the Library , and ,with the approval of their Diredtorsi the treasury of the Friends , b , Invitations : Diane Kingsley and staff will be responsible for the volunteers . Friends will extend invitation to its membership at th-e September meeting , and send publicity to the media. c t � efreshments : Barbara Towner will be in charge of soliciting food donations . diary Fordham will prepare the punch and Gloria Selander will assist with the ingredients . Diene Kingsley will purchase the 'plates , plastic punch cups , n skins , etc,, Anne FitzGeral.d will supply a table centerpiece . d, Gift to immediate Past--Fr -i e t of Friends . It was agreed that the Trustees would follow usual procedure and Samuel Re would 'be .presented with a book. Mr,s .. Johnston is to ' ask Mrs . Re for a suggested title . An expression o thanks and appreciation was extended to Mrs . Johnston for her continuing work with the .volunteers . r
