Rockwood Fordham - Friends <br /> G. seiander Vt. Kingsley .. Librarian <br /> A. Swenson <br /> I Minutes of June meeting were accepted. <br /> III Reports <br /> A. Librarian: Librarian' s report was ap roved as presented. <br /> Mrs. Kingsley advised the Board that . 50.00 of the additional <br /> expense money had been returned to the town. Also that the <br /> summer program for children commenced on July 8th. The <br /> preschool story hour will be held every Friday at 1000 AM <br /> for seven weeks. F3"Llms for the older children will be shown <br /> on Saturday at 1:000 Ali for the same. per od. <br /> B* Friends: The 'resident armoured that an application for <br /> funds had been presented to the -1 elley Foundation, and that <br /> M . R. Shaughnessy had signed the new grant application. <br /> However, there seemed to be some confusion regarding the need <br /> for proof of charter. It was not clear whether the request <br /> referred to the Mashpee Public. Library charter or a Friends <br /> of the Mashpee Library charter or Articles of organization. <br /> It was decided that M. Fordham, President would call the <br /> Kelley Foundation for clarification, and proceed from there. <br /> The President has called a director's meeting for July 15th <br /> at 2&00 'DSI at her home to discuss fund raising. All <br /> trustees are welcome to attend. <br /> A. Swenson advised us that he had arranged with the Market <br /> Book shop to sell Eugene aleska's books at the July 23rd <br /> eet ng of the Friends. The Friends will receive 20% of the <br /> profits. lir. Swenson has ordered 25 copes on consg� t <br /> Co Building Committee: A reporter from the Falmouth Enterprise <br /> attended the last meeting, but unfortunately, reported some <br /> statements erroneously, and others that were not cleared <br /> for release. <br /> The sub-mcommittee on furnishings for the library has held <br /> three meetings and has given the Friends some idea f costs. <br /> The nett meeting will be at the end of July when work on the <br /> project will continue* <br /> IV Old Business <br /> There was no unfinished business. <br />
