Library Director: The circulation for February was 8 , 844 , <br /> for a total of 79 ,953, year t -ate l as of the end of <br /> February, <br /> A report was received frTn South Eastern Mass . Library <br /> rst m, an interesting report they put . together calculating . <br /> the value of thein services libraries . This is State funded. <br /> The total value of services to Ma hp.ee Public Library was <br /> 78 , 657 , 50 , Some of the services their received for that were <br /> daily- delivery service, supplemental reference., electronic <br /> data bases ,, -inter-library loan, net lender consulting, <br /> supply cooperative, rnaterial.s cooperative, summer reading <br /> materials. Helene explained that is your tax dollars at work <br /> in a positive fashion. <br /> IST COMMUNICATIONS: <br /> Helene explained that Wednesday will be Library Le i s lativeDay. <br /> Helene realized that this was rery short noice, it was April 10 , <br /> 2002 - at the State -House. It starts at 10': 0'0 a. m. , and will <br /> last all clay. There will be, ceremony, l tters about literature <br /> where they will be offering awards to children for essays they <br /> wrote what they thought about literature, etc..; there will be <br /> legislative briefings , lunche n, and an opportunity to visit your <br /> legislators to toll thea that libraries s need support:. Helene <br /> advised that you can always call. then, -write them, whatever, and <br /> tell them that libraries need a number of things such as funding <br /> for buildingsO <br /> i <br /> V I !,�T BUSINESS: <br /> David explained that this will be the last moeting for out-going <br /> Anton Busehen-fe l It. Anton served for many gears on the building <br /> committee. That committee worked very hard, and built the li- <br /> rary that we occupy today. David ,stated that it has been three <br /> teras as library trustee, as well. In addition to his efforts <br /> towards the library on the inside, Anton is the ole facto land- <br /> scaper here , and he and Evelyn Busehenfeldt are members of the <br /> Beautification Committee* <br />
