The Trustees offered <br /> various suggestions of options for them to consider doing as a fitting tribute in memory of Mimi <br /> Marsh to Donor Mimi's many efforts and devotion to the Library. This will be reviewed at the <br /> next meeting after Trustees have had some time to think about this. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Alice moti ned"to accept the Mi nutes of the Meeting heldecem er 1 0, �00 as presented; Ann <br /> seconded the notion and it was unanimously passed, Heather motioned to accept the Minutes 6f <br /> the Meeting Meld March 16, 20 ; Ann seconded the notion; and all voted to approve, except <br /> Dianna and Alice'both abstained. <br /> The minUtes ofFebruary 17, 2004 were tabled,to-be reviewed at next meeting ofthe-Board of <br /> Trustees. <br /> Director's Report <br /> Helene reported on circulation statistics and provided a copy ofC .MS report for March 2004- <br /> F-Y-2004. (copy-attached t printed set of minutes . <br /> Helene'then reported.that the'state is,-offering- building-grant. Sheldon-Gilbert advi a -that rhe <br /> will be meeting with Town.Administrator tomorrow and will address this informally. Helene said <br /> that she will.be updating the Library long Range Plan and-if a.grant.application,is submitted.the <br /> library'must-have-a-current-plan on file with-the Massachusetts Board of Library-Commissioners. <br /> Stain <br /> The Trustees again discussed the Library staffing crises.-and.decided to request the funds at-Town <br /> Meeting and inform the Town Meeting of the risk of losing Library certification. Each Fall the <br /> ASS report has to be filed. If the library doesn't meet certain standards reported in AIS, the <br /> library loses its certification. Without this position in the budget,.the library will fall below state <br /> :spending.requirements. The cut would be viewed as disproportional compared to other Mas pee <br /> departments. This would make the library ineligible to apply for state or federal'grants. <br />
