ARD OF L R I TRUSTEES REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING TUESDAY,MARCH 1 , 006 MASHPEE RAY Present: David Burton, Carlo D"Este,,Ann MacDonald-Dailey, Nancy Soderberg,Dianna Smith,Heather akatos, and Helene DeFoe, Library Director. Absent: Nancy Stafford. Chairman David Burton called the meeting to order at 6:40 p.m. Approval of Minutes Aran MacDonald-Dailey motioned to accept the minutes of February 14, 2006; Dianna Smith seconded this motion; and it was unanimously approved. Reports Helene submitted copies of her monthly report for February and the CLAMS circulation report for February, which were reviewed and discussed at length. In addition to the written reports,Helene mentioned that Lauren,, with the assistance of Celia, a volunteer, did a great job in shifting the Large Print and Mysteries into space Helene freed up in the fiction weeding project described in her monthly report. Also,referring to the CLAMS circulation report,Helene reported that this time four years ago we were at 72,454,but now we're at 872751. Copy of Janet Burke's monthly report for February was also reviewed and discussed.' The Trustees were extremely impressed at the attendance at the February 22� (95 attendees) and February 23rd 2 attendees) programs. It was stressed by the Trustees that this shows the dire need for the Children's Librarian position to r be full-Mime. Helene responded that she did check with Joyce Mason earlier today and was told they did not finalize the Warrant yet but it looks hopeful the Article for the full-tine position will make the May Town Warrant. Copies of Helee's and Janet's reports are attached to the printed set of these minutes. Nancy Soderberg asked homer Library is doing with the wireless connection. Helene said it has been up and down. The receiver in the tower had to b 1 replaced and they have to come back to"tweak"the antennae ire our building. Model of New LibraLy L Helene advised that the model of the new library is on display in the Library and it will be on display at Annual Town Meeting; at the Senior Center; and at Tq Hall. The Trustees expressed their pleasure at the plans for displaying the Model.
