ASD OF LIBRARY TRUSTEES <br /> �GULAR MONTHLY MEETING <br /> TUESDAY,AUGUST 14, 2007 <br /> MASHPEE LEBRARY <br /> Present: David Burton, Carlo D'Este,Nancy Soderberg,Dianna Smith,Feather Lakatos,Ann MacDonald- <br /> Dailey, and Helene DeFe, Library Director. <br /> Absent: Jane Dolan. <br /> Chairman David Burton called the meeting to order a 6:32 p.m. <br /> Apo val of Minute <br /> Nancy Soderberg motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of July 10, 2007 as Witten;Dianna Smith <br /> seconded this motion; and the motion was passed, <br /> e rt <br /> Helene distributed copies of her monthly report,the CL' <br /> AMS circulation statistics report, and Janet Burke's <br /> report for.duly. In addition,Helene provided a copy of the Circulation Information FY2007 that she included <br /> in her annual report that is turned in to the Mate. These reports were reviewed and discussed. The Board was <br /> impressed nth all the accomplishments and the excellent work done by Janet Burke resulting in high numbers <br /> of participants in the various programs offered. Copies of the reports are attached to the printed set of these <br /> minutes. <br /> Helene then provided a summary to the Trustees f the Jul 19th� Green-Tour" she attended at 2 <br /> environmentally friendly libraries in Wendell and North Adams. Acopy of Helene's summary is attached to <br /> the printed set of these minutes. In discussing the tours, several things were mentioned in connection with <br /> rec cling possibilities for lashpee Library Then new construction gets underway, such a : <br /> y <br /> Helene said our stacks would be recyclable; shelves can be repainted. Nancy Soderberg commented <br /> that Powder Puff in Bourne does that type of work and does it very well. <br /> Carlo advised that he had spoken with Allenby and they looked at trees at the library and there are <br /> trees that could be replanted. Allenby said he would take them out. <br /> Helene added that there may be things Vnthin the building that a salvage company could remove,thus <br /> eliminating our being charged to dispose of unwanted materials. <br /> Helene advised the Board that the Friends of the Library purchased a new audiovisual drop for the Library. <br /> The Board was most appreciative and said they had noticed the addition. <br />
