BOARD of LIBRARY TRUSTEES <br /> REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING <br /> TUESDAY,JANUARY AR 8, 2008 <br /> MA-SIMEE.LARRY MEETING ROOM <br /> Present: Carlo D'Este'..Dianna Smith,Nancy Soderberg, .bane Dolan,Heather Lakatos,, ,Ann MacDonald. <br /> Dailey (via telephone conference call), and Helene Deoe, Library Director . . <br /> Absent: David Burton <br /> Audience: Sheldon Gilbert <br /> Mice Chairman Nancy Soderberg called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. . <br /> Aop oval of-Minutes <br /> Dianna Smith motioned to accept the minutes of the Meeting of December 11,207 as Witten; Carlo ' t - <br /> secondcd this motion; and the notion was unanimou'sly approved. <br /> Re is <br /> Helene DeFoe submitted her monthly report, as well as the Clams circulation statistics report for December. <br /> Janet urke's monthly report for December- as-also provided to the Trustees. All reports were reviewed and-. <br /> discussed. The-reports are attached to the printed set of these minutes. <br /> Helene informed the Trustees that very possibly the Library could be moving in May. Helene mentioned that <br /> Bridget spoke nth her counterpart at the Falmouth Library and-got.some infonnation on what.is entailed in <br /> moving the facility. As we expect, it will be quite an-undertaking. Towards that end,the staff here-is <br /> continuing to weed out materials and Helene said they took out audio books that had not-moved in several <br /> years and added them to-the book sale materials. Last Friends' book sale with the audio books brought in <br /> 5684. <br /> Helene informed the Trustees that Steve-Cook-told-her that the.dost Office is planning to Mart.construction in <br /> May, so our moving thea would be beneficial since we wouldn't want to be next to all the construction. <br /> Helene said that at a-Friends' meeting Steve Cook inforned the group that an RFP for temporary space i <br /> being prepared. <br /> Helene advised the Trustees that last Thursday she received a call from Senator 'Leary's Representative <br /> Aide to say that Senator O'Leary had been told the bond bill would be introduced the next day or so and <br /> there does not appear to be any opposition. Shelly added that he has seat e-mails to determine whether or not <br /> the-bill was actually submitted. When Helene and Shellyreceive updates they will inform the Trustees. <br />
