Reed(PoliceDepartment) <br /> Scott Halligan(Police Department) <br /> Andrew liason,Chairman, called the meeting to order at :02 p.m. stating that an urgent request for <br /> equipment consoles from the Police Department and his discussion with Joyce Mason prompted his calling <br /> this Special Meeting of 1 CAT. Attached to the printed set of these minutes is a copy of Andrew's e-mail <br /> explaining the Police Department.request for funding for the consoles. <br /> Andrew then gave a brief rundown on the purpose of MCAT, including the statement that the Committee <br /> attempts to apply funds to technology projects that are a benefit to the enure community and that the Police <br /> and Fire departments come high on that list. <br /> Anyroyal of Minutes... Lolita McCray motioned to accept the January 11,2005 minutes as presented; <br /> Maxine Wolfset seconded the motion; and it was unam'mously approved. <br /> Pofice Department <br /> Andrew asked Scott to give a brief history of what is being requested for the benefit of Maxine,who is a new <br /> member of MCAT. <br /> Chief Collins stated that he would first lke to state that this project is without a shadow of a doubt critical to <br /> the Police Department. a said that they have the equipment sitting in boxes which cannot be used because <br /> they don't have the consoles. Therefore,the consoles certainly are not"mit re"but rather are essential to <br />
