#117;* ##� <br /> 4 <br /> SAg <br /> IRLE # i <br /> �* A <br /> IAS PEE CABLE AND ADVANCED <br /> TECHNOLOGY ADVISORY BOARD <br /> MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br /> WEDNESDAY,SEPTEMBER 28,2005 <br /> TOWN HALL—MEETING ZOOM 1 <br /> Present: Andrew Eliason, Chainman <br /> Janes Chisholm <br /> Lolita McCray <br /> Jin Moroney <br /> Maxine Wolfset <br /> In Attendance: Bill Shea, Consultant <br /> Andrew Eliason, Chairman, called the Special Meeting to order at 3:15 p.m. <br /> AA vol of Mi to ,#_, James Chishohn motioned to accept the September 13, 2005 mutes as amended;Lolita <br /> McCray seconded the notion and all approved, except Jim.Moroney abstained. <br /> BiH Shea <br /> Bill Shea distributed and discussed a Flow Chart he drafted that shows the procedure for scheduling meetings and <br /> technicians covering Committee and Selectmen meetings that are to be broadcast and taped. Bitl also explained the <br /> difficulties that have been encountered due to breakdown of communication. For example, meetings are cancelled <br /> or location of meeting changed but technicians not notified. Bill also mentioned they've encountered difficulties <br /> because of user lacking technical expertise* A copy of the flow chart is attached to the printed set of these mutes, <br /> Bill Shea then provided the Committee with an informafion sheet he prepared which identifies recurring problems <br /> due to convrmunication breakdown, as well as specific needs that are required to help overcome operating problems, <br /> etc. A copy of-this information sheet is also attached to the printed set of these mutes. <br /> In discussing the various problems, Jiu n Moroney mentioned that one of the problems he encountered recently was <br /> that no program was going out to Comcast. Jim called Bill and Bill found it was a crunched up tape in the <br /> equipment that created the problem. Bill stated he seat the tapejammed machine to Sony and Sony replaced the <br /> equipment with a new drive. <br /> Consensus of the Committee was that what we need is a Bob a sternmal r-type person because he knows hove <br /> meetings should operate;knows about video and sound; switching of cameras; etc. Absolutely we cannot brim <br /> someone"of`f the treet`�---need someone with expefience and who knows the nuts and bolts of the system, <br />
