BOARD of SELECTMEN <br /> MINUTES <br /> MONDAY, JANUARY 41 1988 u1ar Session <br /> Present: Selectmen Thomas, .Gottlieb,. Lawrence, Hansom and Carter, and Executive <br /> Secretary, Joseph E. Murphy <br /> Guests: Judy Mills, Sean Murphy, Sue Billings, Richard Halpern, Andrew Eliason, <br /> Elizabeth Petti; Carl Heller, and Mr. MacNamara <br /> Selectman Thomas convened the meeting at 7 p.m. <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> 7:00 - The Board of Selectmen conducted a public hearing on the proposed location <br /> of a sign located along the Nathan Ellis Highway at -the entrance to <br /> Mashpee Commons. <br /> Mr. Murphy pointed out the Board had received a copy of a. plan shoring <br /> the proposed setback.. <br /> Judy Mills, representing the- Planning Board read a communication from <br /> the:-.Planning Board which expressed concern over obstruction: of view and <br /> the possibility of plowing problems. <br /> Selectman continued this hearing until next week to allow the Director <br /> of Public works, Building Inspector and Police Chief time to respond <br /> to the proposal. <br /> Selectman Hanson will handle -getting the response from the three <br /> department heads. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1 Selectmen scheduled an-. inter-departmental meeting for January 22 at <br /> : o a.m. <br /> Selectman Carter will advise tomorrow what departments he would like to <br /> have invited. <br /> Selectmen received a request from Elaine Bergman asking to have plowing <br /> reinstated to 155 Hemlock Drive. <br /> Selectman Lawrence will review-the road with the Director of Public <br /> Works. <br /> Selectman Danson advised that there was an article in th-e Falmouth Enterprise <br /> which related that the County was arranging plowing for the elderly or <br /> those with fixed income. <br />
