Reardon* <br /> GUESTS : Curtis Woodbury, Jane Peterson andr�, and- Mrs , Edward Dolan, <br /> The Library Building Committee arrived at 3 : 00 p.m. <br /> 2 : 00 p,m, -- Chairwoman B, Jean Thomas convened the meeting. <br /> 2 <br /> p. - The Federal Revenue Sharing Meeting was held in the . afeteria:00 <br /> of the Town Hall. Mr, Curtis Woodbury was the only guest - other: <br /> than the reporters , Executive -Secretary suggested that the <br /> Federal Revenue Sharing' monies be used to purchase three 3 <br /> new police cruisers and the balance be used to pay the Town <br /> share of the Barnstable Retirement pension. Sel. Garland said <br /> that where there is no interest, as far as the taxpayers of the <br /> Town he would so move on the Executive Secretary-Is recommenda- <br /> tions . This was seconded by Sel. Hanson. This- is a vote. <br /> Sel. Garland 'suggested that the Federal. revenue Sharing meeting <br /> adjourn and the Regular meeting reconvene upstairs . <br /> tion by - Sel. Garland to accept the minutes of the April 5 , 1983 <br /> Administrative Meeting and the minutes of the- A ri l 6 , 1983 Regular Meeting. <br /> Sel.. Hanson seconded with the following corrections in the April 6th meeting: <br /> Changing the name Mrs . Kogut - o Mrs . Korpela in the minutes of the public <br /> hearing on her dog, wherever necessary and Chm, Thomas asked that the word <br /> accepted be changed to acknowledge under number 4 of old business. This is <br /> a vote. <br /> 2 : 1p.m. - Chan. Thomas explained that the police had not been able to con- <br /> tact Mrs . Korpela to give her the - notice about the dog hearing. <br /> Therefore, the dog hearing would be continued on Friday, April <br /> 15, 1983 at 2: 00 p.m. <br /> Chm. Thomas said that where there is time before- the Commonwealth <br /> Electric Hearing the Hoard would start old business . <br /> OLO BUSINESS : <br /> 1. Hoard discussed the State parking lot at South Cape Beach. Sel. Hanson <br /> wants to know exactly where Jonas ' s parking lot -is , Chm, Thomas explained <br /> that the State wants to remove the parking from the sand beach, She showed <br /> on the map' where the parking lot is to be. She also said the gravel that <br /> they are going to use is not detrimental to the environment. and the Committee <br /> asked there to use this bind of gravel. Sel. Garland said he had asked Ruth <br /> Helfeld what they were going to us-e and she said gravel . Ch . Thomas said <br /> the State has used this material at other sites and it held up well. Execu- <br /> tive Secretary said that there- are two pieces on Jonas ' s proper-ty and both <br /> lots are on richt of way of Town- land. He questioned if the State' has <br /> authority to use Town land without Town Meeting approval. Chm. Thomas said <br /> that this has to be cleared up. Sel. Garland said -that he is disturbed. with <br /> Ms . Helfeld' s comments , He feels these comments should be in writing. Sel. <br /> Ga.rlar d is worried that the Town might -get hunt. along the gray. He said he is <br /> not anti South Cape Beach but he wants to make sure that the state lives up <br />
