Executive Secretary read the memorandum from the <br /> Board of Health 'relatie the owners not alying for permits <br /> nor have they filled o'ut 'an -a lica.tion' to '.do business or asked <br /> for 'an inspection. <br /> h . Dos ohetti as} ed if he could have- a few minutes. -with <br /> the Board t-0 discuss the water rob'lem he is having at his hone <br /> caused by the level of water at John's.. Pond. He sta.te'd that he <br /> has five inches of water in his -cell'ar' and he had a pump put in <br /> and now there 'is still ,a quartet to . an inch of water in his cellar'. <br /> Mr. - Bosohetti claimed th t th'e tow' n- gave approval- for Makepeace <br /> to illegally install' boards at the Otis exec of John ' s Pond and <br /> he obje'ct's to the damage this is causing to his property. and some <br /> f his neighbors property. He also said that the. boards had been <br /> removed just to allow some people to o herring fishing. He feels <br /> that the people in the area are .much more important. He requested <br /> that the town leave the level alone, He. stated that the level <br /> should be at the top of the ladder. <br /> Chm. Garland said that he could 'not respond completely and asked <br /> el. Hanson 'to reply to- Mr. Bos heti . <br /> el+. Hanson explained to 'Ir. Boschetti 'that for the last six <br /> weeks he and Mr. Virgilio,, the Superintendent- -of Streets , and <br /> Mr. Burlingame have' been working on the problem. .of the water <br /> level. at John' s Pond, He said that the ' boards had been taken <br /> out for two reasons . The first 'and.-most im octant was to control <br /> the water flow at the bogs. The second was to -allow the herring <br /> to go up stream not for fishing.
