Reardon and Executive <br /> Secretary Joseph F. Murphy. <br /> GUESTS: Mr. Raphael Collins, Mrs.. B. ,dean Thomas, Mr. Charles Buckingham, <br /> Ms. Wendy Rubin, lir, Earl Mills, Mr, & Mrs. Wasil, Mr. George Toby <br /> and Ms, Jacky Warren. <br /> Chm. Garland convened the February 15, 1984 meeting of the Selectmen a <br /> 6 :00 p.m. <br /> Motion by Sel. Hansom to approve the minutes of the February 8 , 1984 <br /> meeting as written. Seconded by Sel. Terry. Motion Carried. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> 6 :00 p.m. - Chm. Garland reconvened the public hearing on Mr. Raphael <br /> Collins application for a taxi cab/l,imosine services* <br /> Mr. Murphy explained that at the o g.inal hearing. Mr. Collins <br /> had been questioned about where he was going to operate his <br /> business. The' Board now has a .letter which has been signed <br /> by Mr. Edward Gourdin of Mashpee Garage stating that Mr. <br /> Collins may run his business from there. Mr. Murphy als'O <br /> explained that ars application has been submitted to the <br /> Board of Appeals for a special permit <br /> Motion by Sel. Terry to approve the license of Mr, Raphael <br /> Collins to operate a taxi cab and limosi a service from <br /> Mr. Gourdin' s garage on Route 130 pending the decision from <br /> the Board of Appeals. Seconded by Sel., Hanson. Motion Carried. <br /> Mr, Collins asked what this meant. lir* Murphy explained <br /> that once the decision from the Board of Appeals was <br /> filed, rhich could take two weeks, as they have ninety days, <br /> if they approved. the Selectmen would sign his license. <br /> As Mr. Mills was not present yet the Board went to new business. <br /> Chm. Garland asked if there was any old busine s to be heard. There was <br /> none. <br /> NEW BUSINESS* <br /> i. Mr. Murphy state that on the cranberry bog proposals the Conservation <br /> Commission had recommended that the bid be awarded to- Donald L. <br /> e=yn. Chm. Garland questioned the negotiations of exceptions. <br /> Mr, Murphy explained that at the pre-bid conference the bidders <br /> had asked that the torn accept payment at the time that Ocean Spray <br /> pays them. This would be after the season. <br /> Motion <br /> el a Hanson to award the bid to Mr. Donald , Jermyn for <br /> $20, 30 per carrel and to go along with the negotiations f exemptions* <br /> Seconded by Sei. -Terry.
