BOARD of SELECTMEN MEETING <br /> APRIL 11 , 1984 <br /> PRESENT: Chairman Willard L. Hanson, Selectman Richard L. Terry, <br /> Executive Secretary Joseph F. Murphy and 'Town Counsel <br /> Joseph J. Reardon. <br /> GUESTS : Ms . Arlene H xie , Mr. Harold Collins , Mr. Thomas Devan , <br /> Mr. Woodbury, Ms . Delores Kong, Mrs . Sheldon Hamblin, <br /> Mr. Vernon- Thomas, Mr. and Mrs . Bryan Anderson., <br /> oo p .m. Chairman Hanson convened the Selectmen' s meeting for <br /> April 113 1984. <br /> Motion by Selectman 'Term -to approve the minutes of the regular <br /> meeting of April 4, 1984. Seconded by Chairman Hanson. Mot-ion carried. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS : <br /> oo p .m. Chairman Hanson opened the hearing. on a dog complaint <br /> submitted by Mrs . Hamblin of Meetinghouse Road against <br /> Mr. & Mrs . John ntonia ' s dog. Board noted that Mr. <br /> Mrs . Antonia, were not present . Chairman Hanson asked <br /> Mrs . Hamblin to present her complaint to the Board. <br /> Mrs . Hamblin explained that she feared for her daughters <br /> Life due to the fact that her daughter -has a chronic <br /> respiratory disease which -could be fatal if agitated. <br /> She went on to state that the dog does upset her <br /> - aughter as h e is allowed to gun while her dogs and <br /> animals a� e,.. enneled. <br /> Chairman Hanson asked what she would like to see done <br /> to correct the situation. <br /> Mrs . Hamblin stated that she would like to see the dog <br /> removed, <br /> Mr. Terry asked if the dog has been restrained since <br /> they were formally notified. . <br /> Mrs . Hambl'in rept ed that the dog has been tied since <br /> the complaint . <br /> Chairman Hanson felt a letter should be sent stating that <br /> the dog be restrained. <br /> Selectman Terry felt Mrs . Hamblin should tell, the Antonia ' s <br /> of her childs condition. He thinks this right help them <br /> to understand the seriousness behind this complaint . <br /> J <br />
