R ardon <br /> GUESTS: Wendy Rubin, Ernie Virgilio, Monica McNally, Arlene Hoxie, Judy Howell and <br /> Tom Fudal <br /> Selectman Terra convened the meeting at 7 p.m. v <br /> Selectman Thomas mored to approve the minutes of January 23, 1984. Selectman Terry <br /> seconded. -All were in fav r. <br /> 4 <br /> APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br /> - <br /> 7:00 — Wendy requested time with the Board to inform them,of proposed future plans <br /> for the recreation facilities- on Route 130. She asked the Selectmen to please <br /> consider the funds that the Town will receive from the Otis land sale. <br /> Torn Fudala presented plans to the Board slowing the proposed changes.. He <br /> explained that the majorconcern is the roa-dway and parking areas, <br /> Mr. Virgilio pointed out that the only way for children to get to the playground <br /> is t-o walk along the roadway where cars are parted. He feels the roadway where <br /> oaks are packed. He feels the roadway should be reconstructed immediately. <br /> Selectman Terry asked Trendy to submit -an e-s t imate to the Board. <br /> Mr* Virgilio would like .to hold a public hearing.to allow input from the public, <br /> Selectman Terry felt holding a public hearing was a terrific idea and gave <br /> therm the go ahead. <br /> 7:20 Mr. & Mrs. Ed Lacey requested time with the Board to discuss the possibility <br /> of the Town selling therm Lot 48 which abuts-s their property that they just <br /> purchased and would like to obtain this parcel for elbo 'room. <br /> Selectman Thomas pointed out that the 3 abutting lots if combined could be. <br /> built on. F <br /> Town Counsel pointed out that with the zoning the way it is now they could not <br /> be built on but with the new proposed zoning they could be built upon. H, <br /> went on to explain the procedures that may have to be follow6d tb allow Mr. and <br /> Mrs. Lacey the opportunity to purchase this property. <br /> Selectmen asked that the La ey ' s are kept informed as to the status of this <br /> property, <br /> f <br /> rt <br /> f - I <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Selectman Thomas mored to appoint George Benway as an ex officio member to the a <br /> 4 hoc Goals and Priorities Comm' ttee. Selectman Terry seconded. All were in favor. <br />
