r� <br /> BOARD OF SELECTMEN] ' <br /> MINUTES <br /> TUESDAY, MARCH .51� 1985 <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE MEETING <br /> Present: Selectman Hanson, Selectman Thomas and Executive Secretary, Joseph F. <br /> Murphy (Selectman Terry on vacation) <br /> Guests: Monica McNally from the Enterprise <br /> Mr. Virgilio came before the Board to request ars additional $10,000 for snow and ice. <br /> Mr. Virgilio explained there has been twelve snow and ice related storms this winter.. <br /> He further stated that the Finance Committee has agreed to an additional $7,00 for <br /> next fiscal ea r for snow and ice. <br /> Selectman Thomas pointed out that this would mean a total of '$ ,00 for snow and ice <br /> this year. <br /> Mr. Murphy asked f pre—ice repairs should core from the expense account instead of <br /> the snow and ice account. <br /> Mr. Virgilio said no it should definitely come from snow and ice, <br /> Selectman Thomas moved to approve an additional $10,000 for snow and ice. Selectman <br /> Hanson seconded. All were in favor. <br /> Selectmen reviewed the Board' s budget. Mr. Murphy explained that the Selectmen' s , <br /> Clerical , Executive Secretary and Maintenance salaries reflect the .5rd' pay week. <br /> The Moderator and Town Counsel salary accounts do not as they are paid on a Contract <br /> basis. All salaries do reflect a % increase except for maintenance which falls under <br /> collective Barg inin . He also pointed out he- is asking the same amount of money as <br /> last year for surplus equipment. <br /> When the Board reached Legal and Engineering, Selectman Thom-as asked if the title <br /> search fees were coming out of this account. Mr. Murphy stated there was a s perat <br /> account tor this. He also recommended if additional monies were needed that the <br /> Board submit ars article for this additional money. <br /> Selectmen discussed the Selectmen Expense account.. Selectman Thomas pointed out the <br /> dues for the Selectmen' s Association is now $75. <br /> Mr. Murphy suggested Selectmen round off this account to $ ,00 . <br /> Mr. Murphy explained that last year Temporary Repairs to Private Roads was not part of <br /> the omni—bus budget and was voted down as a seperate article. He therefore feels the <br /> Selectmen should put this back into the omni—bus budget. <br /> Selectman Hanson asked why the change in Central Services. Mr. Murphy explained that <br /> Central Services will only purchase the necessary- supplies and no longer purchase <br /> specialty items as departments were taking advantage of this. <br /> Mr. Murphy informed the Board that they were served by Patrolman Aitchison yesterday <br /> afternoon and Town Counsel has asked that. Mr. Murphy be present at Superior Court this <br /> morning at 10:00 a.m. <br /> L _. <br />
