Board of Selectmen <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> Wednesday, April 8, 1987 <br /> i <br /> Board members present: Willard Hanson, Chairman; B. Jean Thomas . <br /> Joseph Murphy, Executive Secretary was also present, <br /> Chairman Hanson convened the meeting at P. M. <br /> Selectwoman Thomas moved that the minutes of the Regular Meeting and <br /> the Executive session held on April 1, 1987 be accepted. The vote <br /> was unanimous . The minutes of the Emergency meeting of larch 19, <br /> 198"x., were not accepted due to incomplete reporting of the proceedings . <br /> Mr. Murphy will suppler a, detailed report <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS : <br /> I. Quashnet Valley Country Club - change, of x ana, er. <br /> r. Richard Iwa.so has been designated as the manager by Quashnet <br /> Valley Country Club, Inc . replacing Thomas J. Devane , Jr. Mr. Iwa ko � <br /> provided the necessary documents to effect this change . Mrs . Thomas <br /> moved t o approve the change of manager of the Quashnet Valley Country <br /> i <br /> Club from Thomas JO Dovae , Jr. to Richard Iwa.s o. The vote was unani- <br /> mous . <br /> 2. Quashnet Valley Country, <br /> Club - disciplinary action. <br /> �i a �� i —�• <br /> Mr. Hanson reported on the violations concerning opening am closing <br /> regulations during the month of March. In November, the Board of <br /> Selectmen had authorized Quashnet Valley Country Olub to remain closed <br /> during week days . in January and February due to economic conditions <br /> The Club has failed to reopen on week days in March. It was the <br /> unanimous agreement of the Board members present that Quashnet Valley <br /> Country Club will go on record as having been in violation of the <br /> rules and regulations . lr. Hanson further stated that any future <br /> infractions will not be tolerated. <br /> 3. School Building Committee. John Ferguson gave a <br /> report on the current status of this pro ject. He discussed the Town's <br /> eligibility for funding through the Educational ssistance :'B rea.u, <br /> Ir. Ferguson stated that the estimated figure to complete thi <br />
