Board of Selectmen <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> Wednesday g May -13 1987 <br /> Board members present: B, Jean Thomas , Chair oman; Jeremy Carter; <br /> Andrew Gottlieb; Willard Hanson; Fuer Lawrence . Joseph Murphy p <br /> Executive secretary, was also present. <br /> The Chairwoman convened the meeting at 7: 00 Pe Ma <br /> Mr. Carter noted that in the Water Commission section of the minutes <br /> of the Regular Meeting of May 6, 1987 the figure "$1000 ,000.00. <br /> should read $100- x.00(., .With that correction, Mr, Lawrence mored <br /> that the Board accept the minutes of the Regular Meeting of April. �� <br /> 1987 and the minutes of the Regular Meeting and Executive session <br /> held on may 6 . 1987. Mr. Hanson seconded the motion. The vote was <br /> unanimous . <br /> -Appointments and Hearings <br /> 1. New Seabury Corporation -- Managerial change at Count <br /> Club. Counsel for the Corporation was present and stated that appli- <br /> cation <br /> ppli- <br /> cation has been submitted to the Board of selectmen from the New <br /> Seabury Corporation d/b/a New Seabury Country Club to change the <br /> designated manager from Lawrence F, Dra.go to Stephen V. Frisbee . <br /> Mr. Murphy noted that the scheduling of this hearing has been pub- <br /> 1 shed in The Enterprise and that no notice is required to abutters . <br /> M'r:. Frisbee presented evidence of citizenship, his birth certificate. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb moved that the Board change the designated manager of <br /> the New S e a.bur r Country Club from Lawrence Fe Dra.go to Stephen . <br /> Frisbee, Mr. Carter seconded the motion. Mr. Lawrence abstained <br /> from voting. Mrs * Thomas ani ' r. Hanson voted, in favor of the motion, <br /> (NOTE: This meeting proceeded out of order of the agenda as scheduled. ) <br /> Old Business .Ib <br /> 1. Dick & Ellie-Is Flea Market - SPecial Permit. The <br /> Executive secretary referred to a written communication from the <br /> Board of Appeals dated May 4, 17. He pointed out that Condition <br /> #4 of the special Permit renewal would provide for the services o <br /> a, police officer to monitor on-site parking and the movement of traffic <br /> on and off of the premises and to control traffic and parking on the <br /> State layout of Roue 28. This Condition #4 it put into effect at <br /> the discretion of the Board of selectmen and would be provided at the <br /> expense of the Applicant. The Flea Market is open four days a week, <br /> The Board mer bersdiscussed the Meavy flow of traffic and the potential <br /> danger of coni erging vehicles at the site and whether or not one <br /> police officer would be sufficient for the above-mentioned entioned purposes, <br /> It was unanimously agreed that the Town 'Planner and the Police a De art <br /> went would p <br /> a on-site inspection of this situation and report <br /> back to the Board of Selectmen with their recommendations within one <br /> wee ,from this date . <br /> r <br />
