Board of Selectmen <br /> Regular Meeting <br /> we dne s day p June 17 , 1987 <br /> Present : Be Jean Thomas , Chairwoman; Jeremy Carter; Andrew Gottlieb; <br /> Peter Lawrence . Joseph Murphy, Executive secretary, was also present. <br /> Chairwoman Thomas convened this meeting at 7 : 00 P. M. <br /> Mrs . Thomas noted that in the minutes of the Regular Meeting of <br /> June 10, 1987 , 'specifically in the discussion concerning illegal <br /> littering, the. name "Silva" shall be charged to "Costa" throughout. <br /> Mr. Gottlieb roved that the minutes of the meeting held on June to , <br /> 1987, Regular} session, be accepted after correction above-noted and <br /> that the minutes of the Executive Session of the same date be accepted <br /> as presented , Mr. Carter seconded the mo ion e. The vote was unanimous. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> 1. China. Plaza of Mashpee , Inc . - Application for All <br /> Alcoholic^ Beverage License . selectmen Carter stepped down from the <br /> .easing on. this matter due to a possible conflict of interest, <br /> John Hopkins , Esq. , made presentation of relevant 'Information and <br /> stated that this enterprise will be located at lashpee Commons and <br /> will occupy two units having a total of 3 ,670 sq. ft. He presented <br /> and foiled with. the Board all appropriate plans ; proposed menu; evi- <br /> dence of citizenship of the designated full-time , on premise manager; <br /> and Affidavit of Notice to Abutters . Vincent K. Lai , designated <br /> manager is also the President, a. director of the Corporation and a <br /> stockholder. The premises will be leased from Fields Point Corpora- <br /> tion and will be undergoing renovations after which they will apply <br /> for a Certificate of- Occupancy. Mr. Hopkins stated that the appli- <br /> cants are seeking a year-round/annual All Alco.holic Beverage and <br /> Common Victualers license to open at 11:30 A. I. for lunch service <br /> and proposing to case at 2: 00 A.I . in the summer season cutting <br /> back from that closing time as business determines in the off season. <br /> Selectman Lawrence moved that this Application be granted as presented <br /> pursuant to receiving the required ' Oc c upa cy Permit based on plans <br /> submitted to the Board of Selectmen at this hearing and further, to <br /> e contingent on the decision of the Planning- Board in favor of <br /> allowing this used Mr. Gottlieb seconded. the motion,, The vote of <br /> those members of the Board present for this hearing was unanimously <br /> in favor. The Chairwoman closed this hearing at :20 P. M. <br /> Mr. Murphy noted Licensing Board regulations and stated that if the <br /> Applicant is permitted to serve food until 2e. 00 A• Me , the licensing <br /> Board's regulations will have to be amended. <br /> 2 .
