Reardon <br /> Guests; George Costa., BillJones', Beth Jones, Jane Stockwell, <br /> Ben Lof hie, Al Polsi, John Ferriday, Anne Shaw, Stephen <br /> reelish, Deidre Greelish, Carl Feller, Paul Ott, Chief <br /> Ridgeway, Ernest Virgilio , Chief Frye, George Benway, <br /> Dr. Del oura., Paul Somerville, Dean Driscoll, Carole Dunivan <br /> The Meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Carter at 7: 03 P.m. <br /> Selectman Jacobson asked that the minutes of January 15, 1991 <br /> be amended to reflect on page four under the Falmouth High School <br /> Tuition Account that Selectman Jacobson agrees with the recommendation <br /> and assumes these steps should normally be followed when considering <br /> enrollment estimations. <br /> Selectman Jacobson asked that the minutes b-e amended to reflect <br /> on page seven under Military Personnel that she inquired if both men <br /> had families involved that are currently activated in the National. <br /> Guard. It is noted that Mr. lederios does have a. 'family# <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Jacobson to approve the minutes <br /> of January 1 , 1991 Regular and Executive Session -with the above named <br /> amendments} <br /> Selectman Gottlieb made second the motion. The vote to accept <br /> the minutes of January 15, 1991 is unanimous with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Water District re; Ballot Question for Annual. Election: <br /> Attorney William Henchy was present to seek the Board' s approval <br /> to place the ballot question on the May 1991 Annual Election Ballot <br /> as a. referendum. <br /> The purpose of the referendum question would be to give the voters <br /> of the Town, the opportunity to determine whether or not the la. hee <br /> Water District should include all land within the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Selectman art e r is concerned with the citizens ur* en tl using <br /> Highwood Water and the tax they.. may incur by becoming a district <br /> member. He questions if here is a. meeting to address this concern. <br /> special Water District meeting will be held on February 26, 1991 . <br /> to address this concern to area. residents. A number ofpublic hearings <br /> will follow concerning the acquisition and its effects on the Town. <br /> Attorney Henchy also notes there would be no town meeting required. <br /> The District is obtaining figures to address to the public. The taxes <br /> will vary dependant upon the property location, assessment and the -amount <br /> of water consumed, <br /> ed, <br /> It is also noted there is no signed document to date with Highwood. <br /> The price agreement is verbal and the taking is negotiated, The District <br /> is confident of the expansion. <br />
