Reardon <br /> Absent: Selectman Gottlieb <br /> Guests: David Bailey, Jane Stockwell, John Ferguson, Paul Ott, <br /> George Baker, George Benway, Ernest Virgilio <br /> The Meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Carter at 7105 . . <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Lawrence to approve the minutes <br /> of January 28, 191 Regular and Executive Sessions, <br /> Selectman Jacobson seconded the motion. The motion is unanimous <br /> with the Board Members pre sent. The vote is 3-0- Selectman Hanson <br /> has not arrived for the my-eting at this time. <br /> APPOINTM04TS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Mashpee�Auto Sales for lass II Licenset <br /> eno Mendes, Jr. was present to discuss the application for a <br /> Class II License to buy and sell used vehicles, He operates an auto <br /> repair/glass shop on Rte. 130 and has sold used cars in the past. <br /> The Registry of Motor vehiples has requested fir. Mendes to obtain � <br /> Mass II License to buy and sell used vehicles on the premises. <br /> Selectman Lawrence would like to take this matter under advisement <br /> since the applicant has not been before the Board of Appeals. He <br /> questions the zoning of the site since the past business u=sage was for <br /> post offices The application may require a special permit From the <br /> Board of Appeals. <br /> Representatives fvom the ' imberlane Shores Association were present � <br /> to discuss their opposition. They were surprised to leam. the operation <br /> was selling cars and issuing a license to do so is not proper usage for <br /> the property. Mr. Sharpe also mentioned the zoning change and the <br /> previous usage as a post office. <br /> Mr. George Morrisson abutting the property also voiced his opinion <br /> in opposition. He owns lots in the rear of the property and was not <br /> notified of the application in writing. A zoning change would be to his <br /> disadvantage with buildable lots. <br /> Selectman Lawrence is opposed to a used car shop 'in that area and <br /> would like to know the zoning. Selectman Jacobson is also concerned with <br /> the zoning of the area and questions if the immediate abutters were <br /> notified. She would like to take this matter under advisement, <br /> Mr. Mendes spoke of his intention if the license was granted, he <br /> would limit the vehicle storage to three and claims it is a good size <br /> lot. He also states the Board of Assessors Office gave him the list <br /> of mutters to notify. <br /> It is the consensus of the Board to tale this matter under advise-" <br /> vent. Selectman Carter has directed Kevin Harrington to notify the <br /> Board of Appeals for this concern and to schedule the application. <br />
