l N .4 BOARD OF SELECTMEN MINUTES PdCN AY, FEBRUARY 25t 1991 Presents Selectman Carter, Selectman Jacobson, Selectman Lawrence, Executive Secretary Kevin J. Harrington Town Counsel Joseph J. Ron Bonvie, Diane Rommelmeyerp Elias McQuade t Jane Stockbridge, Paul Ott The Meeting was Called to Order by Chairman Carter at 7: 08 Pomo The motion was wade by Selectman Lawrence to approve the minutes i of February 20, 1991 Regular and Executive Sessions. The motion was seconded by Selectman Jacobson with the following � amrendment on page three. Under the water spigot at disposal entry -gate building paragraph four to read as follows; Selectman Jacobson noted the total cost 's not to exceed $100 per year from the Water District and the Highwood fee was $100 to $150 per six months for usage,. i With the above ammendment, the Board votes in favor of the past minutes. � i APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: Southport: Mr. Doug Boyd was present to give an update of Southport to the Board. At the present time there are 103 valid building permits of actual condo' s on the ground. The 103 doesn' t reflect the ammendities building or sewerage treatment buildings. There are 22 occupanes in the 103 with no a r endities. Of the - 103 it' s basically one buildings one foundation, one ,u droplex rough framed and the others are pretty well finished explains Mr. Boyd. Southport hopes to pull 125 permits before the first of June. The 22 occupants in Southport have . signed an indemnification agreement with the Town that they will not hold the Town responsible. The occupants have moved into Southport knowing in full that the ammendities building was not finished and will not be until June of this year. Ron Bonvie could not go into detail. but explained there is an offer with a key investor involving a substantial amount of m ney. Of the depositors, 90% is in escrow and if someone chooses to back out, the deposit will be returned with interest. The Board of Selectmen have approved 15 building permits and Southport has currently used 12 so theme are 3 remain-ing. Doug Boyd reported of the anticipated revenue to the Town for 1990 including back taxes to be a, sura of $169, 225, It was noted the sewerage treatment plant i % finished. There has to be % of occupancy before it becomes on line. With concerns f r the donation of lana to the Town from Southport Mr. Bonvie explained the status with the Board. The gift has been promised and Resolution Trust has to sign the release of the mortgage, This land abuts Town land in john' s Fond and is approximately 14 acres, i i
