Reardon <br /> Guests: Doug Boyd, Jane Stockbridge, Paul Somerville, Paul Ott, <br /> Robert Sullivan, Steve Ca.dri 1, Leo Howard, Jim Vaccaro, <br /> eptuy Cooper, Chief Frye, Charles dicks, Fred Peters <br /> The Meeting was Called to Order by Vice-Chairman Jacobson at 7: 02 p.m. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the minutes <br /> of February 25, 1991 Regular and Executive Sessions. The motion was <br /> seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The vote is unanimous to approve the <br /> past minutes. <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS <br /> Shellfish Commission F ionsis <br /> There are no major changes to the Mashpee Shellfish. Regulations <br /> as reported by Paul Somerville. The dates are changed from 1991 to <br /> 1992 and the added fee increase per acre From $15.00 to $20.00 is <br /> recommended by the Commission. N ext year, the Commission has -a proposed an <br /> increase to $25. 00 per acre which is the maximum mum allowed by state law. <br /> There are approximately 18 acres in the aquaculture grant area. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to adopt the regulations <br /> s. presented. The motion was seconded by Selectman Manson, The vote <br /> is unanimous with the Board. <br /> The closure of a, section of Little River to the taking of oft- <br /> shelled clams by all permit holders is also recommended by the Commission. <br /> There is a natural set of soft-shelled clams in the river that has <br /> dense, ~areas of soft-shelled babies. The Commission has recommended <br /> the closure until the clams reach harvesting in the summer of 1992. <br /> Quahogs and scallops can still be taken from the area. <br /> The Division ofMarine Fisheries will be opening a section of <br /> Great River in Waquoit Bay for the taking of clams. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the closure <br /> of Little River a recon men led by the Commission, The motion as <br /> seconded by Selectman Hanson. The vote is unanimous. <br /> 7:08 p.m. Selectman Carter has arrived for the Meeting, <br /> Continental Cablevision re: Bond Deduction: <br /> In discussion with the Cablevision Advisory Committee, Kevin <br /> Darrington has recommended the $500, 000 bond intended for liability <br /> during the installation period be reduced to $25, 000, The construction <br /> of the cablevison is complete. <br /> The motion was made by Selectman Gottlieb to approve the recommend- <br /> ation and reduce the bond requirement of Continental Cablevision to <br /> $25, 000. The motion was seconded by Selectman Lawrence. The vote is <br /> unanimous with the Board, <br />
