Circulation exceeded last May by <br /> 1 , 109 items ; a increase over the same period <br /> lest year . Year-to-date circulation is 71 ,015 . <br /> There were 83 interlibrary loan transactions and <br /> 2 , 330 non-resident borrowers . Patron visits for <br /> the rtiont totalled 4 , 540 . <br /> During the month of May 1995 , $32-1 . 50 L oTV e rdue <br /> fires has been collected and turned over to the <br /> town. <br /> Mate Aid Workshop .- Helene reported that on Jure <br /> 12th there had ee a state aid workshop at the <br /> Mashpee Lib. ary. Two women frora the Boardof Library <br /> Commissioners visite. th-e Mashpee Library Co is- <br /> sioner visited -the Mashpee Library to go over the <br /> chancres in fora s . They made a very interesting <br /> statement . They said some communities arefindin <br /> that circulation f-igures are levelling off. <br /> Or in some cases , figures are dropping . obviously <br /> the Mae %ee Library does not fit tha-t mold because <br /> we are continuina to increase which makes us some- <br /> what unusual . <br /> One of the points ' raised was that now that people <br /> have access to CLAMS and other sources , they are <br /> better able to pin oint . what they want , where if <br /> they came in before automation, they would come- <br /> in a ta1�e a handful of iteris on the subject they <br /> wanted, hopina to find .somethinor where now, they <br /> can Drowse electronically and find exactlywhat they <br /> want . <br /> ti <br />
