A - <br /> IW <br /> MINUTES-JANUARY 9. 2014 <br /> MASHPEE AMERICANS WITH I ISA ILLITIES ACT COMMITTEE <br /> MASHPEE TOWN HALF 2:00 P.M. <br /> Present: Robert Wooldridge, Beverly Wooldridge, Charles Maintarris, Michele Brady, Patricia <br /> Parolski, Kathleen Moore. and Carol Sherman <br /> Also Present: Mary Lou Palumbo, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce <br /> Called to Order: The meeting was called to order at 2-05 p.m. by Chairman Robert Wooldridge <br /> Approval of Minutes—November 14, 2013 <br /> Motion: Trish Parolski moved to approve the minutes of November 14, 2013 with one <br /> correction, seconded by Charlie Maintanis. vote unanimous. <br /> 3� <br /> Discuss Questionnaires for Business' Self-revaluation of Accessibility <br /> Bob Wooldridge referred to a sample self-evaluation form he-gave to Carol Sherman for rating <br /> businesses' accessibility fo'r the guidebook with the Chamber. Carol Sherman suggested adding <br /> a reference in the town report regarding how the ADA Committee is working on this guidebook: <br /> Carol noted that the girl that was working with Mary Lou Palumbo had started a folder with <br /> information for the guidebook. Mary Lou Palumbo stated they are going through the book and <br /> will update the information. Chairman Wooldridge suggested eating establishments, have a few <br /> copies of a large-print menu available. If possible, it would also be helpful to have a menu in <br /> 4■ <br /> Braille. Carol noted the Chamber will provide a rough draft to the members for review before it <br /> gees to print. Mary Lou stated they will be doing their editing during the month of March and go <br /> to print in April. Mary Lou said she would welcome any more suggestions the members may <br /> have for the guidebook. She said we want everyone to know that they are welcome in l ashpee. <br /> Review Draft Annual Report <br /> Chairman Wooldridge spoke about the annual report he drafted and stated he would add <br /> something about the guidebook. Carol suggested adding Ware's name to the section on the <br /> Audible Local Ledger. Bob asked if any of the members had any changes or suggestions t <br /> please let him know. (UPDATE: Bob made the recommended changes and forwarded the final <br /> draft to Carol Ieneen and Torn Mayo: <br /> Update state-wide initiative to curb misuse of handicapped parking placards and <br /> handicapped parking violations. <br /> Chairman Wooldridge spoke about his meeting with Carol Sherman, Wayne Taylor and Chief <br /> Collins on this subject. Chief Collins has always been a supporter of our efforts with regards to <br /> handicap parking. Carol noted Chief Collins made all of the patrolmen aware of this effort and <br />
