1 <br /> Town of Mashpee <br /> Board of Health <br /> October 18th, 2001 <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7:02 p.m. <br /> Members present: L. Glenn Santos, Steve Ball, Glen E. Harrington, Veronica Warden, <br /> and John Doherty <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING; IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. John Doherty. Chairman <br /> 1. Sign Warrants <br /> Warrants signed. <br /> 2. Approve Minutes of October 4th, 2001 <br /> Mr. Doherty entertained a motion to approve the minutes of October 4th, 2001. <br /> Mr. Ball stated that he would entertain the motion. However, Mr. Santos had a <br /> few questions that he wanted to discuss. <br /> Mr. Santos then stated that he wanted to review page one, number four, the <br /> word "area" should be changed to "committee". Then on page twenty-five <br /> seventh paragraph, he didn't understand the sentence. <br /> Ms. Garron, administrative assistant, clarified the statement by saying that it <br /> should have been "go there." <br /> Mr. Santos didn't recall making this statement and didn't understand the <br /> content. He stated that if Ms. Garron would just clarify the statement he would <br /> second the motion to approve the minutes. <br /> Mr. Harrington then interjected his opinion. Mr. Harrington felt that Mr. Santos <br /> made the statement in reference to the discussion surrounding the topic of <br /> Elias and Orin both being at the BOH meetings. Furthermore, he didn't want to <br /> revisit that topic. <br /> Mr. Santos was more comfortable with the clarification. He seconded the <br /> motion. <br /> Ms. Warden then joined in the discussion. She stated that she had some <br /> questions due to the fact that she was not present at the meeting itself. She <br /> wasn't here to discuss the horse issue -Merry Meeting Farm. There were quite <br /> a few things said about her. She had taken a day off after years of attending <br /> meetings. She was unable to defend herself. She was really taken aback by <br /> what the neighbors had said. They were pretty much accusing her of being in <br /> collusion with the owner of the horse barn who she barely knows. She was very <br />
