He could <br /> supply some additional information. But, the possibility that this is a buildable lot <br /> is questionable. <br /> Mr. Ball then stated why spend additional money if it is not going to fly. <br /> Mr. Doherty continued the conversation by stating that he, Mr. Ball and Mr. <br /> Harrington stated their opinions in this matter. He then deferred to Mr. Santos for <br /> his final opinion on this matter. <br /> Mr. Santos responded by stating that he would like a lot more information on what <br /> it used to be. Could it possibly be construed as wetland? <br /> Mr. Slavinsky did not believe it would be considered wetland. He based this belief <br /> on the results of the perk done that was done in 1981. They didn't even check off <br /> that conservation was involved. <br /> Ms. Warden asked if they even had a conservation department in 1981. <br /> Mr. Doherty stated that they did have a conservation department in 1981 and it <br /> was probably Randy Peters. <br /> Mr. Harrington reviewed the 1981 sheet and stated that the conservation check off <br /> box was not on the sheet. <br /> Mr. Slavinsky then asked the BOH members if they were all at a giant impasse. <br /> Mr. Doherty responded that they were not at an impasse. He was sitting on the <br /> fence. Mr. Ball was saying yes. Mr. Santos was saying that he wanted more <br /> information. Mr. Doherty reiterated that times change and there is technology that <br /> we have now that wasn't available in the past. Essentially the reason they said they <br /> couldn't do this is because the material present in the lot doesn't perk. They were <br /> putting systems into this material and they were failing left and right. Everyone <br /> knows what will work and what won't work. <br /> Mr. Slavinsky continued that there was no doubt in his mind that a strip-out will <br /> work on this lot. But, the deal is that the Town of Mashpee will not allow it. He is <br /> willing to do a topographic plan and walk it to Bob Sherman. <br /> Mr. Doherty then asked how long the lot had been in this condition. Are we going <br /> back 20 years? <br /> Mr. Slavinsky replied that the family has owned this lot since 1964 or '65. He <br /> couldn't imagine that Mr. Mahoney's father would have bought a wetland. <br /> Mr. Harrington interjected that these are the perks in 1981 and this was the <br /> condition of the lot 20 years ago. <br />
