1 <br /> TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD OF HEALTH <br /> November 29th, 2001 <br /> Meeting was called to order at 7:04 PM. <br /> Members Present: Steven R. Ball, L. Glenn Santos, Glen E. Harrington, and Veronica <br /> Warden. <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF THE MEETING: IT IS FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> TRANSCRIPTION ONLY. <br /> Mr. L. Glen Santos, Co-Chairman <br /> 1. Sign Warrants. <br /> Warrants Signed. <br /> 2. Approve minutes of November 15th, 2001 <br /> Mr. Santos stated that all the Board members were not present. He <br /> recommended that they wait until all Board members were present to approve <br /> the minutes. <br /> 3. New Food Establishment Permit: VFW, 440 Route 130 <br /> Mr. Ball asked if it was a non-profit organization. <br /> Mr. Harrington confirmed that it was a non-profit organization. <br /> Mr. Santos asked if they would be serving any hazardous food and did they have <br /> somebody qualified to provide these services. <br /> Mr. Harrington confirmed that this would be a full service food establishment <br /> with the appropriately trained people certified in food handling. <br /> Mr. Ball then asked what they were looking for a vote to waive the fees and <br /> accept the application pending the final inspection. <br /> Ms. Warden stated that they are not ready to open their doors. <br /> Mr. Harrington continued that he had conducted a preliminary inspection. He <br /> was supposed to have returned today. But, he was unable to get up there. <br /> Mr. Ball asked Ms. Alice Gibbons, regional director, when they planned to open <br /> up. <br /> Ms. Gibbons responded that they planned to open up in two weeks. <br /> Ms. Warden continued that she and Mr. Harrington reviewed the leaching <br /> facility and found that it was adequate. <br />
