It has been a problem for a long time <br /> and it needs to be put to bed. Then he rescinded it as <br /> long as the owner sent his employees to the ServSafe course. It washed itself out <br /> because the cost of the ServSafe program was approximately the same dollar amount as <br /> the fine. <br /> Mr. Ball then stated that they have already gone through this approach with The Great <br /> Wall with this. <br /> Mr. Doherty confirmed that they had already tried this approach with The Great Wall. <br /> Mr. Doherty then stated that they didn't know what this type of contract was going to <br /> cost. But, he imagined that it was be a similar situation. A punitive fine to the town, the <br /> Town doesn't need the money and it only makes people unhappy. If the money has to be <br /> expended, he would rather see it be expended for a constructive purpose. He would <br /> entertain a motion to allow the restaurant to re-open, to continue this until a <br /> consultant's plan can be presented and any renewal application would be granted only <br /> on a temporary basis. This has got to be in writing and firm and very soon. <br /> Mr. Harrington stated that it should be provided by a certain date. <br /> Mr. Doherty continued that we were coming into a difficult period with the holiday <br /> season. He stated that it was going to take awhile for the BOH to work it out. <br /> Mr. Harrington continued that within two weeks we are into a new permit. <br /> Mr. Doherty interjected that a new permit would be issued only on a temporary basis. <br /> Mr. Harrington stated that if they could have the contract in place they could use the <br /> time lines of thirty-day, temporary, re-inspection, thirty day, temporary, re-inspection <br />
