2
created and his experience wasn't the best. He agreed that he would put this item
on hold until he and Mr. Ball had an opportunity to discuss this further.
5. Letter from Monomoscov Island resident's petition to the Board of Selectman.
Mr. Harrington stated that the letter was merely an FYI.
Mr. Doherty asked what was going on.
Mr. Ball stated that it was one of the types of letters that essentially states that it is
okay that the homeowners, who wrote the letter, can architecturally do something.
But, anybody else cannot. He has been researching the issue. He will be going to
the meeting to present a different view. He is going as a resident not as a
representative of the Board of Health.
Mr. Harrington had the signatures if Mr. Doherty wanted to review them. However,
he didn't figure it was necessary. There are 8 or 9 pages of signatures that do go
along with the letter.
Mr. Santos then asked if this group wanted to present themselves to the Board at
the next meeting.
Mr. Harrington then stated that they did not request anything of this Board it was
merely for zoning. But they copied the Board of Health.
Mr. Doherty acknowledged receipt of the letter by the Board members.
6. Emergency Repair Certifications:
386 Mashpee Neck Road
Ms. Warden indicated that the leach pit was full into the risers. Due to ground
water elevation and close proximity to wetlands and engineered plans are required.
Board members forwarded their signatures to the Emergency Failure Certification
form.
293 Route 28
Mr. Harrington indicated that the leach pit was observed with historic evidence of
solids above the inlet pipe (up into the riser). Evidence of hydraulic failure. The
intent is to install two 500 gallon chambers with 4' of stone which will equal a 13' x
25' x 2' leach trench.
Board members forwarded their signatures to the Emergency Failure Certification
form.
7. Letter from Richard & Renda Coughlin re: complaint Merry Meetinghouse Farm
8. Letter from abutter to 243 So. Sandwich Road Merry Meetinghouse Farm
9. Letter from Kelly & Scott Proverb re: complaint Merry Meetinghouse Farm
Mr. Doherty stated that items 7, 8 and 9 would be handled as one item on the
agenda since they all concern the same issue. He then asked Mr. Harrington if he
had had a chance to go out there.
