1 .
Personnel Board , Minutes January 5, 1976 . . . . . . . . . . . .page 2
• of his examination report and/or test reports given to Mr. Costa. Also, a letter
will be sent to Dr. Carl Granger asking his opinion on 1) whether the pain Mr.
Costa complained of during Dr. Granger's examination, particularly the second
session, was consistent with Dr. Granger's experience in this form of clinical
procedure, and 2) in his opinion is there any disclosed physical limitation which
would prevent Mr. Costa from being employed as a police officer in a limited
physical manner, such as conducting a census, or performing clerical duties.
After review of ac uired information regarding Special police officers'
salaries paid since 7/475, it would appear that three Special officers were
paid more than the beginning rate under the S.A.P. The chairman indicated that
he would-pursue this matter with Chief Bingham.
A letter will be sent to the Board of Selectmen regarding the interviews for
the position of Executive Secretary, per their request dated 12/29/75• Six
candidates will be recommended in the following order for their review and final
decision: Gary M. Beer, James W. Blackerby, James L. McKenzie, Frank E. Hicks ,
John A. Granger, and Thomas M. Renahan.
Having no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned until
January 19, 1976 at 7:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
• jsa
