Interview for Part-Time Program Director <br /> The Board interviewed Susan Lochiatto for the position of part-time Program <br /> Director . Ms . Lochiatto ' sbackground was reviewed by the Board and it was <br /> felt that she is• qualifiedtifor the part-time position . Ms . _Lochiatto holds <br /> fBachelor of Science ,De'gree'+in sport fitness ; currently' work's for the town ' s <br /> ecreation Department on a 'contract basis as"9 tennis instructor ; formerly <br /> worked for the Town of Sandwich Recreation Department as a tennis instructor <br /> and has also been self-employed in theffield . The hourly rate of $7 ,45 was <br /> also discussed . The Board voted unanim_odsly +to 'recommend Ms . Lochiatto for <br /> the position . <br /> Meeting With Conservation -Agentland Chairman - <br /> Lisa Hanscom , the Conservation Agent , and Louise Behrman , the Chairman of <br /> the Conservation Commission met with the Board to discuss the position of <br /> Board Secretary for their department recommending that the hours be in= <br /> creased to 26 hours weekly and that the position be classified as an Admin- <br /> istrative Secretary position . Discussion centered around the increase in <br /> work in their department with hearings increasing from 160 in 1986 to 185 <br /> in 1987 . Lisa explained that there is also a backlog of work from past <br /> years when there was no Agent or Administrative Secretary and that there is <br /> a tremendous need for past files to be reorganized so that the Conservation <br /> Commission may assist the public in an efficient and expedient manner . <br /> A job description was presented to the Board as to what duties an Administra- <br /> tive Secretary would be required to do for the Conservation Commission . The <br /> Personnel Board accepted the job description and asked the secretary to format <br /> and date it . <br /> Personnel Assistant Position <br /> The Board reviewed the Personnel Assistant ' s position and job duties and <br /> oted to upgrade the position to a Grade 10 effective as of the start of the <br /> iscal year . This would bring the position in line with other positions of <br /> a similar nature in the town . The Board noted that the Administrative <br /> Secretary to the Police Department was recently upgraded to Administrative <br /> Assistant and that the Selectmen ' s Administrative Secretary was upgraded in <br /> recent years to an Administrative Assistant . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 7 : 50 p .m . <br /> Respectfully submitted , <br /> Marilyn Farren <br /> Personnel Assistant <br /> mf <br /> • <br />
