with our schedule. No custodial help needed in cafeteria. Disrepair is minimal. <br />Camp staff helps with clean up after breakfast group. First couple of weeks for <br />camp was difficult. Our program runs until 28h of August. <br />Someone pulled the fire alarm at the school today. The individual was from our <br />camp. <br />IV Old Business - <br />A. Summer Programming - Camping programs are filled, tennis programs are <br />filled, and golf is filled, Driver's Ed is filled. We are also doing early drop off <br />and late pick up. We transport kids back and forth to and from the Rec. Bldg. <br />Judy Steams' Program has about 12 per session. <br />B. Revolving Fund had about a $23,000 running balance. This year it was <br />$26,000. Gus discussed income and expenses on Kids Klub Programs. <br />Now Peggy Geary's salary comes from KKPS and KKAS. Discussed having <br />Peggy's income funded differently in the coming year. Peggy Geary has a great <br />staff working with her. Peggy has some staff that have come on to the school <br />teaching staff. We will be a hiring part time person that will be working at the <br />school. We are putting another ad in the newspaper. <br />We will know in November if we were awarded a Grant for Rec. Bldg. Expansion. This <br />would enable us to accommodate 96 individuals. This additional space could <br />accommodate sports programs. <br />V Other Updates - <br />A. Fall planning. Gus passed out schedule of fall programming and start of <br />programs in the afternoon. Gus discussed with Senior Center some programs of <br />interest. Gus and Jim are working on new programs. We are looking at other <br />ways to promote our programs. Looking at implementing separate brochures for <br />youth, high school, and adult continuing education. <br />Going to build up holiday programs such as cake decorating, wreath making, etc. <br />Information on our master card and visa. We have terminal installed and will be taking <br />cards shortly. Two areas being worked on: 1 - Ropes Course; 2 - Police have applied for <br />Grant to put in a skateboard park. This would be behind the Police Station. Would like <br />to get some kids involved with the design. Gus asked for any suggestions. Wayne Taylor <br />mentioned typing courses with kids teaching. Ropes course is being cleaned up. Spoke <br />with Chief Przybylek about using the course. We will train our own instructors. Could <br />only use when police were not running DARE programs. Will be putting together a <br />training center. <br />Discussion took place regarding hiring staff and having to pay overtime rates. We cannot <br />find enough help for youth center on Friday nights. <br />
