LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 1, 1998 <br />MASHPEE TOWN HALL - 6:30 PM <br />Present: Absent: Also Present: <br />Pat Riley Kim Whitney Gus Frederick <br />Wayne Taylor <br />Pat Antonellis <br />Scott Chausse <br />Maryanne Macdonald <br />Don McCuish <br />Opening - Pat Riley called the meeting to order at 6:40 PM. <br />H • Minutes - Pat Riley made a motion to approve the Minutes of the August <br />meeting. Pat Antonellis seconded. Motion carried. <br />III Communications - Nothing to report at this time. <br />IV Old Business - <br />A. Summer Programming - We have been averaging 75 people per week in all <br />our programs. We are getting a lot of 7m and 8`h graders in Adventure Camp. <br />Some were new and some were past participants. Some of the activities that <br />took place were canoeing and ropes course. <br />We are monitoring income and expenses. Our Appropriation Account is set <br />up on the computer and our Revolving Account is being set up. Our goal is to <br />have everything put on Quick Books Pro to track individual programs. Should <br />have good idea of profit and loss next month. <br />British Soccer program was very successful with 25 individuals. Swim <br />program worked out better having a separate individual hired for this purpose. <br />We had to charge for the swimming program this year. We would like to <br />promote high school students to become certified. We will help pay for the <br />course. <br />B. New Advisory Member - The members welcomed Don McCuish, new <br />Advisory Council member. <br />C. Fall Programming - Gus passed out copies of what will be on the fall flyer. <br />Trying to separate programs for adults. Gus went over adult classes. Pat <br />Riley suggested adding some financial classes. <br />
