LEISURE SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING September 1, 1998 MASHPEE TOWN HALL - 6:30 PM Present: Absent: Also Present: Pat Riley Kim Whitney Gus Frederick Wayne Taylor Pat Antonellis Scott Chausse Maryanne Macdonald Don McCuish Opening - Pat Riley called the meeting to order at 6:40 PM. H • Minutes - Pat Riley made a motion to approve the Minutes of the August meeting. Pat Antonellis seconded. Motion carried. III Communications - Nothing to report at this time. IV Old Business - A. Summer Programming - We have been averaging 75 people per week in all our programs. We are getting a lot of 7m and 8`h graders in Adventure Camp. Some were new and some were past participants. Some of the activities that took place were canoeing and ropes course. We are monitoring income and expenses. Our Appropriation Account is set up on the computer and our Revolving Account is being set up. Our goal is to have everything put on Quick Books Pro to track individual programs. Should have good idea of profit and loss next month. British Soccer program was very successful with 25 individuals. Swim program worked out better having a separate individual hired for this purpose. We had to charge for the swimming program this year. We would like to promote high school students to become certified. We will help pay for the course. B. New Advisory Member - The members welcomed Don McCuish, new Advisory Council member. C. Fall Programming - Gus passed out copies of what will be on the fall flyer. Trying to separate programs for adults. Gus went over adult classes. Pat Riley suggested adding some financial classes.
