3. Post Prom Party Letter —Department donated $100.00 gift certificate <br />for After -Prom Party. <br />4. Attaquin Park Committee — Gus referred to a letter from Attaquin Park <br />Committee. Janice Mills would like a response made to David. <br />A brief discussion took place regarding equipment that could be <br />installed at Attaquin. Gus mentioned that we would be looking for a <br />Site Recreation Director for Attaquin Park. <br />III. Old Business — <br />a. Fall Programs —update —Gus referred to a printout that he brought of <br />the Revolving Account. <br />b. Grants — Received $40,000 Grant for After-school enrichment <br />programs. Gus is meeting on 1/26 with some teachers and those <br />interested who would like to be involved. This is for students K <br />through 8' grade. Gus will meet with Pat Antonellis regarding <br />integrated special needs after-school programs. Patricia Parolski will <br />help implement with tutors and will help identify kids in need. <br />New 2151 Grant application —through the federal government— <br />Discussion took place. <br />c. Computer Registrations — Trying to get funded for computerized <br />registration program. Sandwich uses Rec Ware and Barnstable uses <br />Rec Trac. The cost runs between $4,000 and $8,000. Gus would like <br />to see something by the fall. <br />IV. New Business <br />a. Winter Programs — The kids programs are going strong. In the Adult <br />Programs the spiritual classes and computer classes are doing well. <br />C.N.A. is not getting enough to run a class. Pat Antonellis suggested <br />that we check with nursing homes to fund. Gus mentioned that he has <br />been trying to track registrations. About 5,000 registrations went out. <br />b. New Member — Gus got the name of Arthur Calachico from Kevin <br />Terrill and will try to contact him. <br />c. 2001 Budget — Capital -Going in with Council on Aging to do space <br />needs study - $25,000 will be given for space needs study. Some <br />funding still available to fix Rec Bldg. — new roof, siding, windows. <br />Work will be done by June ($14,000.) Appropriated — One area is for <br />full time salary employees — 53E'/2 account to Peggy Geary who is <br />paid out of Revolving Account. Trying to move her to Appropriation <br />Account. The increase in Office Supplies is for Computerized <br />
