• MASHPEE HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE MINUTES <br /> OCTOBER 19 , 1993 <br /> TOWN HALL <br /> Present: Paul Griffin, Merry Sue Ahlgren , Steve Greelish, Joe <br /> Polito, Bill Martiros, Peter Dinizio, Janice Mills <br /> Absent: Bill Jones, Linda Murtha <br /> Meeting convened at 7 : 38 p.m. <br /> MINUTES <br /> ** Mr. Griffin made a motion to accept the minutes of <br /> October 12 , 1993 . Ms. Ahlgren seconded the motion. All <br /> members in favor. ** <br /> ** Mr. Dinizio stated these meetings sometimes conflict with the <br /> Chamber of Commerce meetings. He will review the schedule to see <br /> which meeting dates conflict and the Committee will discuss <br /> alternatives for those dates. <br /> ** OPEN FORUM MEETING - is scheduled for Saturday , October 23rd . <br /> Ms. Ahlgren and Mr. Dinizio will get together to discuss the <br /> presentation . She will put a new cover sheet on the handout used <br /> at the PTO meeting . Janice Mills is handling the coffee and <br /> • donuts. <br /> ** Mr. Dinizio spoke with the Enterprise about doing profiles on <br /> Committee members; they are taking it under advisement. They <br /> did ask for a reproduction of the sites and the layouts reviewed <br /> to date. The Committee has no objection as long as they do all 4 <br /> layouts. The Enterprise can do the camera work . <br /> ** Town Meeting is scheduled for Saturday , December 4, 1993. <br /> COMMITTEE DISCUSSION RE : PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES <br /> Mr. Griffin spoke with Mr. Ian Aitchison , President of Chartwell <br /> & Co. who will give the Committee an overview of their project <br /> management services this evening. <br /> He also spoke with Mr. Kennedy, Chairman of the Lexington School <br /> Building Committee who used their services. Mr. Kennedy was very <br /> pleased with their services. Chartwell saved them time, <br /> embarrassment and many times more the fee. They supplied <br /> alternative ideas to the Committee. Mr. Kennedy told him they <br /> never would have made it through the project without hiring a <br /> firm like this. <br /> Mr. Polito stated he would like to see the Architect concentrate <br /> • on the design of a proper concept and giving the Committee as <br /> many alternatives as he possibly can. <br /> 1 <br /> —J <br />
